Q: G String

Pre Runners: Too many to list, plus YHC arrived late and didn’t see all of them.

G String came strolling in at about 0508 thinking ‘perfect – I have about 20 minutes to get cones on the field’. Then as he turned into the parking lot, the glow lights of several PAX prerunners were fluttering everywhere. He thought to himself ‘Oh crap – prerunners are already back… oh crap – we start at 0515’. He jumped out, threw on his weighted vest (because this was the preblast encouragement to wear one), and snagged Boss Hog for an extra hand on setup. Out of breath with one minute to spare, G String stumbled to the flags to greet the PAX.  Boy were there more than he realized – time to improvise.  The mumblechatter was strong as the buzzing of the field lights filled the air.  Thanks Rooney.

At 0515, G String welcomed the PAX to the Danger Zone, stating F3 stands for fitness, followship, and faith.  He covered 5 core principles – it’s free, open to all men, always outside, it’s held in a rotating fashion, and it ends in a circle of trust.  He told them that we leave no man behind and no man where we found them.  G String stated the Mission Statement to plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership and that he is not a professional. He asked if there were any FNG’s and what do ya know, we had one!

Name-o-Rama (see above list of PAX)

FNG’s: One

Warm a Rama:

Mosey to field, but first the group stopped and spread out throughout the bleachers for aiken arms and aiken legs.

Down to the middle of the field where PAX numbered off 1-2-3, creating three large groups. G String was not anticipating such a large group and got rather flustered during the station descriptions. The mumblechatter got louder and he then just said “you’ll figure it out” while Swiper was yelling at him to hurry it up. Ok break – let’s get to it.

Station 1: Push group.

Station 2:

Station 3:

The three groups finished all stations with about 12 minutes remaining, so G String called all of them to the goal line for 11’s for 20 yard sprints doing merkins and air squats on the ends.

Omaha was called at approximately 0554.  The group returned to the middle of the field where (32) of sarpy slammers were completed.

The FNG Napster was established and welcomed. He also received the Top Gun award for rocking smiles the entire beatdown. The other Top Gun award went to one guy who wore a G String the entire time – Duracell. He can floss with the best of them.

We also had a Nugent Flag pass from Beans to Chernobyl.

Announcements:  Halfway house at Catamount at nearby park. Prerun challenge comes to an end. Heartland Hope sponsor of the year F3 Omaha. 5 year anniversary beatdown coming up. 2.0 Beatdown at the Pit postponed due to weather.

Prayers/Intentions:    Scott Johnston family. TTT as he goes through surgery.

COT:  Switch to first person… The theme for the day was investing in ourselves, hence the encouragement of the weighted vest. I revealed to the group that this is something I’ve take a step to improve over the last few weeks as I’ve registered for some classes to learn more about a hobby of mine that I’ve launched into a side small business endeavor. I also went out on a limb and RSVP’d for a two day leadership and business development conference across the country in the coming weeks. This will put me out of my comfort zone but I know it’s investing in myself. I want the PAX to do the same and really put an effort into focusing on making the deposits into those parts of their life that they feel they are lacking. If they do, they’ll be happier and feel more fulfilled.

G String prayed us out.

Aye!
