At 0530, G String welcomed the PAX to the F3, stating they found themselves at the Labyrinth, claiming that it was only his second time there. G String stated that F3 stands for fitness, followship, and faith. He covered 5 core principles – it’s free, open to all men, always outside, it’s led in a rotating fashion, and it ends in a circle of trust. He told them that we leave no man behind and no man where we found him. G String stated the Mission Statement of F3 – to plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership. He claimed to not be a professional and asked that PAX modify as necessary. He asked if there were any FNG’s and there were none.
Warm a Rama:
The group didn’t warm up, simply grabbed two brick pavers that G String had brought and started on the run. The plan was to take the 3 mile prerun route and make a few stops along the way – a G String of Pearls if you will.
Stop 1: 30 curls, 30 big boys, 30 squats
Stop 2: 30 tri extensions,, 30 lunges, 30 heels to heaven
Stop 3: 30 bent over reverse flies, 30 johnny dramas, 30 goblet squats
At stop #3, the group realized they’d be pushing the time limit so G String opted to have everyone drop their brick pavers in the parking lot and he’d come back for them. A good pace was had for the last ~1 mile to the flags.

I explained my silly dream about leading the Labyrinth and getting lost with my F3 brother Boss Hog. We couldn’t find anyways on the beatdown but then at the end, here came Pit Stop and the rest of the crew. This dream tied well to my ‘lost’ them of being OK with the uncomfortable and understanding that there are times we need to let go and get lost, because that’s when we will truly be found. Even in prayer or our faith journey to extent we need to release control and pray to our belief, but we also need to know that we can’t sit on the couch and just continue to pray. God will show up in mysterious ways and provide guidance, but it’s on us to take action when opportunities arise.
