QIC: Wait Time
25 PAX met at the OG site’s shovel flag for an early morning Saturday beatdown. We had two first-time PAX members to the Oracle. After sharing the five principles, the mission statement and disclaimer (including for the next hour, I am not your friend). YHC put together an OG beatdown planned for the football practice field near the field house. During our first year at Boys Town, we frequently used that area of the AO. Over the past couple of years, we never seem to spend time there, so my goal was to deliver a brutal beatdown that no one would forget at the football field. As it turned out, we grinded until someone’s nipples bled so I think at least one PAX will never forget the morning. We moseyed to the roundabout statue on the west side of Boys Town’s campus.

COT: BE AN OG [Overly Generous] High Impact Man
Lately, I have been reflecting on the importance of Generosity. I just reached my eight-year anniversary in F3, and I have watched the abundant generosity demonstrated by PAX members over that time – whether it is Third F events like the “Brush Up Omaha” or through small acts of kindness in the gloom. F3Omaha would not exist without generosity. Our high impact men are generous with their time, talent and resources.
I’ve also reflected on the importance of generosity in the most important relationship in our lives – our relationship with our M. As someone who has navigated a divorce of the past several months, I realize that I could have been more generous in that relationship. Generosity is a virtuous upward spiral – generosity begets generosity. The opposite is also true. If someone withholds generosity in a relationship, it can be a downward cycle. I would not wish a divorce on anyone, so please learn from me and be generous with your M.
Don’t be a high impact man that demonstrates generosity in the gloom, and fails to carry that generosity out into the world. It is important to be generous in all parts of our lives. Be generous with love, kindness, attention, and affection.
In this new chapter in my life, I am learning the importance of generosity. This time I plan to get it right. I am grateful to have generosity being expressed to me by special people in my life. I am grateful to build a new relationship in my life that is rooted in generosity.
Specimen ended our time with a prayer.
Grace & Peace,
Wait Time
