QIC: Boji
5:30am: Boji welcomed the other 24 PAX to F3 & The Dune. He began by stating the F3 Mission Statement, 5 Core Principals. He let everyone know that he was not a professional and to modify as necessary. We had 1 FNG’s this morning.
Boji forgot to recite the Credo which is “We leave no man behind but leave no man where we found him”. Lincoln Logs reminded me of that as we were moseying to Warm-O-Rama 😊.
The PAX grabbed their coupons and we did a short mosey to the football field for Warm-O-Rama.
- 20 Sun Gods IC (10 Front & 10 Back)
- 10 Cherry Pickers (IC)
- 6 Big Ones (3 on each side, slow count)
- 10 Tappy Taps (IC)
- 20 Side Straddle Hops
Pre Thang: 2 Minutes of Merkins: Each PAX was encouraged to AMRAP as many Merkins as they could in a 2-minute period. Proof that 2 minutes is a long time no matter what others may think.
The Thang – 2 Person Grinder
Boji paired the PAX up into groups of 2. There were four (4) stations set up on the south side of the football field. The PAX were encouraged to split up and go to a station of their choice. There was a list of 3 exercises at each station. The PAX were to complete the reps of each exercise cumulatively prior to moving to the next station. One PAX member of the team was doing the exercise while the other ran to a light on the north end of the football field, completed 3 burpees, and ran back to the station to relieve the other team member.
This was to be rinsed and repeated, if necessary, until Omaha was called
Following are the exercises that were at each station:
- Station #1 (Coupon Station)
- 45 Blockee’s
- 45 Curls for the Girls
- 45 Bench Press

- Station #3

Omaha was called at 6:02am. We grabbed the lights, coupons and moseyed back to the shovel flags.
Mary: Boji called on Pax to get on their six for Mary:
- Canadian Bacon led up in 15 Dying Cockroaches (IC).
- Ketchup deferred to Brad Pitt who led us in the longest 6 inches I have ever experienced.
This is where things went haywire. Boji named the FNG prior to doing Name-O-Rama.
Naming (1) FNG:
- John Denver
Name-O-Rama: Took two (2) takes to get it right!!

COT
Out of the blue yesterday afternoon, I got a text from someone I have not seen since 2019. The first and last time I saw him was at his dad’s funeral. His dad was my great friend Tom that I met through cycling. I was with his dad when he passed suddenly away from a massive heart attack while on a bike ride. The conversation we had last night brought up many memories and I believe helped bring closure.
One ongoing joke we all had about Tom was his inability to be on time for anything. He lived on “Tom Time” to the point that this was on his license plates. He spent so much time investing in the people that he was currently with that he was always late for the next event. He truly lived where his feet were planted. We should all live a little more like Tom did on “Tom Time”.
Boji led us out in Prayer.
Thanks for the support this morning. It was a wonderful way to start my 45th year of life. It was an honor to lead the PAX at The Dune! Shout out to Unicycle for the opportunity to lead this group. -Boji
