6:00 Chernobyl & Busser welcomed all PAX members and FNGs to the beautiful gloom. He listed off the 5 core principles, mission statement and credo. He mentioned that he is not a professional and that all exercises are a suggestion and to modify if needed. We then circled up for Warm-O-Rama.

6:07 Chernobyl led beatdown

We moseyed to Volunteer/Blonde Ruff fields to revisit a fun beatdown from this past year from other brother Kickstand.

We broke the PAX into 2 teams. Each team had the opportunity to have an “at bat” where they would draw a card from a deck. However, only the Ace, 2, 3, 4, and face cards were present. If the Ace was drawn, the PAX would hit a single and would run to first; 2 a double, 3 a triple and so-on. If the PAX drew a face card, it was a strikeout meaning the entire team had a consequence: 3 burpees. Once a card was drawn, it was returned to the deck.

Meanwhile, the opposing team would run from foul pole to foul pole, doing 10 merkins and 10 LBCs at each, respectively.

Once the entire team had an at-bat, the teams would switch and the team with the most runs scored didn’t have to do 10 burpees.

6:25 Busser-led beatdown

We circled up in centerfield of Volunteer Field, which is now being coined as the best grass in F3 Omaha btw, for a set of motivators. We knocked these out from 5, since Busser will be the 5th site Q at The Pit. The was a callback to the Firewalker led beatdown in November 2022 that convinced Busser he couldn’t post 6 days a week forever.

Once we were done on the best grass in F3Omaha

We moseyed over to the baseball/softball practice fields to revisit another beatdown that made its debut at The Pit this past year thanks to brother Crankbait – Battle Boards. We used our same teams from the F3 baseball portion and “got lined up” on opposite sides of the rope that Chernobyl had laid out with the battle boards distributed evenly on either side. Busser gave a brief explanation of the beatdown (do the exercise on the board and toss it over to the team on the other side of the rope) and we got to it. Many PAX got to experience the glory and pain of battler boards for the first time this morning.

6:47 Omaha was called and we moseyed back to the shovel flags where Chernobyl led us in 30 Volkswagens IC…… and Busser led a much less painful 15 IC heal touches. We followed that with Sarpy slammers.

6:55  Name-O-Rama / Announcements / COT

Chernobyl shared a few stories from the past year and how much F3 means to him. But today was about another guy. Busser was given many praises for being the best man for the job and Chernobyl couldn’t be “any more proud” for his twinning PAX.

Busser thanked Chernobyl for the opportunity and push to lead The Pit and also for being such a great example of a HIM in all 3 F’s. Busser thanked several PAX that were instrumental in his Pre F3 and early F3 journey (OG Kickstand, Animal House, Swiper). Busser explained what The Pit meant to him and how F3 has been such an incredible impact on his life for the past 10+ months.
