The Oracle 3-30-2019
If a guy sends out a “way too early preblast”, is it alright to send out a way too late backblast?

Warmarama:
Windmill: 40 IC
SSHà 20 IC… stopped at 40 because I heard some 20 and 30 somethings grumbling about the “40” on the windmills
Sungods: 20 IC each direction… for a total of 40
THE THANG: Turn Back Time
Once upon a time(40 years ago), in a land far far away, a child was born into this world. This child would experience all of the ups and downs that a small town could serve up… he was a young sprout… who knew that he would someday grow up to be a 40 year old “ethanol”, in the midst of something that can change a life after just one post. As I kicked around thoughts on the backblast, I settled on a little reflection… at 40, I guess it is time to start doing stuff like that. Over the years, I have been a part of teams. From t-ball and boy scouts to football and intramural basketball star (placebo)… from soldier to dad and from dad to family man. We are all a part of a team, all throughout our lives. Until this point, I guess I never really thought about it…. And now I am asking myself why. Why didn’t I take more time to soak it all in? Why didn’t I take the time to run that extra mile? Why didn’t I do this… or why didn’t I do that….. it wasn’t until recently that I realized that it doesn’t really matter, all of the whys and what ifs… I realized that to be the best teammate that I could be, I had to be the best version of myself. I realized that, if I were going to be that person, I had to be vulnerable. I realized that I needed to get outside of my comfort zone. I realized that I no longer had to put on the tough guy face or suck it up and drive on. I realized that I was still part of a team. A team, just like any other, made up of all walks of life…… but all the same, on the team. I am so thankful to be a part of this team… one that took this sad clown and made him better.
THANG: Hands of Time” 4 stations set up in a circle, a clock, with the shovel flag in the center. At each spot on the clock the PAX had to complete 4 exercises x 40 IC. The pax would then bear crawl from station to station, counter clockwise, in the hopes of turning back the clock…. Ferris thought it would work. Once all exercises were complete, burpees were had by all until all groups were finished.

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
Ball of man was formed… Ethanol took us out with a prayer….
Thanks to everyone for your support and for helping this dude feel better at 40 than I did at 30!
