Workout Outline:

Introduction:

It’s hard not to reflect on the challenge we under took just 60 short days ago with the Murph challenge. Since then 63 (ish) Pax, >1550 Murph completed and an average of 26 Murph per #HIM its an impressive undertaking and a true testimony to the grit, determination, and community of F3Omaha. I arrived this morning inspired by the men who execute daily and give everything #EDGE. Congrats MEN!

Upon arrival I asked the men to hold in their hearts their own whys and to think of what impact they can make or others of have impacted them as I would bring us full circle during the COT. With that I went through our morning introduction rituals and we sat out to our Murph destination. I will add, there must have been a disturbance in the FORCE as it was quite a “Gassy” Beat down. We really need to discuss our diets lol! Probably a top 3 day for #alwaysoutside

CoT:

Gentlemen, I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for each of you choosing to spend this time in the gloom.

I want to read to you a poem by Berne Brown called the Manifesto of the Brave and Broken Hearted this is dedicated to Cynthia Sturgeon who passed on August 22 (her 55th birthday)

This poem is a reminder on how adversity can lead to and strength perseverance. We grow from our failure and the challenges that the creator puts in our path. “Each of us are the authors of our own lives, we write our own daring endings”. It is a reminder on how we can use and channel adversity into strength and ultimately into impacting the lives of others. Whether its with an entire community (eg. Project Pink’d) or a discussion with a neighbor on a bad day. Small impacts ripple into waves.

There is no greater threat to the critics and cynics and fear mongers
Than those of us who are willing to fall
Because we have learned how to rise

With skinned knees and bruised hearts;

We choose owning our stories of struggle,

Over hiding, over hustling, over pretending.

When we deny our stories, they define us.

When we run from struggle, we are never free.

So we turn toward truth and look it in the eye.

We will not be characters in our stories
Not villains, not victims, not even heroes.
We are the authors of our lives.
We write or own daring endings.

We craft love from heartbreak,

compassion from shame,

grace from disappointment,

courage from failure.

Showing up is our power.

Story is our way home.

Truth is our song.

We are the brave and brokenhearted.

We are rising strong.

Make an impact today!
