Besides the experience to lead the upcoming workout, I have really come to enjoy the minutes leading up to T-time of the beatdown.  Its awesome to get a little time to talk to men that you that have decided to complete the hard act of getting up at zero-dark-thirty and showing up for a 45 minute Get-right session.  Plus, I always enjoy watching those guys who wait until 0529 to get out of their warm cars.  So right on time 0530, we got things underway with the Mission Statement and five core principles.  Due to the lawyers in the group, I was reminded to state the disclaimer as well.  It was time to start the task at hand and get to working out

Pre-Thang – was started in the playground. We lined up did:

5 Merkins; 10 IC SSH and sprint to Harney St.

At Harney St. – 5 Merkins; 10 IC SSH sprint back to playground

At playground – 5 Merkins; 10 IC SSH and sprint to Harney St.

At Harney St. – 5 Merkins; 10 IC SSH sprint back to playground

The Thang – Set up 4 exercise stations on the corners of the playground. We broke into 4 groups for one at each station.  Each group was to perform 3 workout stations and then transition to running one of the two loops around the Swanson park.  The groups either had to run the shorter South Loop or the Longer North Loop.  The work out stations had exercises that consisted of:

This workout was set up to have to run two laps of both the short and long loops.

Announcements – Nugent Scholarship fundraiser

COT- I just shared with the Pax how I was not fulfilling my obligations with my dad.  Living with another person you can pick up on their attitudes.  I knew my dad has classic cabin fever and desire to travel somewhere, but has no one to travel with (first world problem).  I know that I really need to step up, put work aside and do something fun with him as we both are getting older.
