PAX came together to discover that the Woodshed is actually a three-sided A-Frame structure where you are taken for a beatdown.  Wait Time covered the F3 Mission Statement and Disclaimer and quickly led the PAX to the Pot Smoker’s Grotto for Warm-A-Rama.

T-claps to the six guys who earned some EC with a pre-beatdown run (Placebo, Tater Tot, Truss, No Doze, Waffle House, and Lowman.

Warm-A-Rama:

As three is the magic number, all reps were completed in numbers divisible by three.

At the completion of the exercises, Wait Time asked Ponzi to begin a count-off, to which Ponzi revealed that he was still immersed in his fart-sack dreamland. After the count-off the Q found 3 Burpees necessary to awaken Ponzi and rest of PAX.

After the burpees the PAX moseyed to new territory at the southern most end of the AO.

THANG: The BERMUDA  ELMWOOD TRIANGLE

Wait Time led the PAX around the Triangle shaped area that was used for the THANG.  Three stations were set-up at each corner of the Triangle.  Station 1 included concrete block coupons.  Station 2 had a mix of shoulder and leg exercises and Station 3 focused on the core.  Teams of four PAX would complete the THANG together.  Each member would do the designated exercises AMRAP until they were tagged out by a member of four-man team.  Three stations with various members always running from station to station.

STATION 1 (w/ coupons): Squat w/ coupon, Curls, Kettleblock Swings, Lunge W/ Twist.  PAX did not complete all six exercises which included Dead Lifts and Rocky Balboa.

STATION 2: Shoulder Taps, Cherry Pickers, Alabama Ass Kickers and Chilcutts.  PAX did not complete Crab Cakes and Planks.

STATION 3: LBCs, Freddie Mercurys, Big Boy Sit Ups, Rosalitas.  PAX did not complete Heel Touches and Imperial Walkers.

Q noted that THANG would have been better designed with 15 reps rather than AMRAP.  The run was too long for assigned number of exercises.

PAX discovered pedestrian bridge on the return to shovel flag.  Wait Time asked that everyone Bear Crawl across the bridge and watch for The Big One hiding under the bridge being a troll.  Point Break discovered fastest way across the icy bridge was to use arms like sled runners.  Luckily, Point Break didn’t suffer any splinters.

PAX moseyed to the shelter house and did a brief “Balls to the Wall” until the Six arrived. Plague – always being the frontrunner – might disagree with the “brief” description of BTTW.

Wait Time shared the significance of the “magic number 3” as it relates to F3.  He asked Tater Tot and Room Service to join him in reading Ecclesiastes 4, “I observed yet another example of meaningless in our world.   This is the case of a man who is all alone, without child or a brother, yet who works hard to gain as much wealth as he can.  But then asks himself, “Who am I working for?  Why am I giving up so much pleasure now?”  It is all so meaningless and depressing.

Two people can accomplish more than twice as much as one; they get a better return for their labor.  If one person falls, the other can reach out and help.  But people who are along when they fall are in real trouble.  And on a cold night, two under the same blanket can gain warmth from each other.  But how can one be warm alone?  A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer.  Three are even better, for a triple braided cord is not easily broken.

Wait Time said this perfectly describes the fellowship and brotherhood in F3.  We are here to pick up other guys when they need it.  We get stronger physically, and more importantly, spiritually and mentally.  Many guys have shared how F3 has changed their lives and how they did not know they were missing the relationships or “secret thread” that braids us together.

ANNOUNCEMENTS/PRAYERS:

Brazilian’s 4-year old daughter, Nell, was bitten severely by a dog while they were on vacation in Jamaica.  A part of the family had to return home with Nell and seek medical attention.  Keep Brazilian, Sarah and Nell in your prayers.
