The Jesuits speak of Per Aspera ad Astra, which means “through difficulty and hardship we reach the stars.” It is sometimes interpreted as “struggle well.” Life isn’t easy. Easy is not our goal. We will and we do face struggles. We have this group to share our struggles together and “struggle well.” We are lucky to start each day with a very hard workout. It teaches us to fight through hardship and difficulty. I am grateful for each of you who offer me a place to share my struggles and “struggle well.”
