First of all- my apologies for this omission from the original Back Blast. This should have been included but it is also worth documenting regardless.
As I mentioned in the original Back Blast – I welcomed our FNG – Josh when I saw him waiting for his host – Irish Car Bomb. He had showed early for the Pre Run, which has merit of its own.
After Name-A-Rama, which was not particularly smooth (you can watch), we brought Josh to the middle to tell us about himself. He is from Portland and had enjoyed the music scene while there and this started a number of thoughts. He has a tattoo with ode to U2. He works for Hilton ( which he wisely did not bring up until at coffeeteria). This brings up the point that he completed the FNG trifecta – Pre run – Post- Coffeeteria. Impressive showing.
Anyway Slow Pitch threw out Amadeus and after a number of other offerings, that stuck. There was a late petition by Jean Claude and Girl Dad to change to Nickel Back. After prayer they persisted and after brief consideration I left it at Amadeus.
I think there was still some chatter about the situation as we arrived at Starbucks but this was quickly squashed. Parked at Starbucks- like a message from the universe – was a BMW with the license plate AMADEUS.
Case Closed.
