Saturday October 8th

Boys Town – Cold Morning around 35 degrees

PAX – Old Spice, T Swift, Dogecoin, Urkel, Sgt Pencil, Longneck, Buns of Steel, Laserjet, Hei Hei, Straight Flush, Tuna Fish, and Cheap Seats

I greeted the PAX and recited our Mission and Credo

The Mission of F3 is to plant, grow, and serve small men’s workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership.

5 Core Principles: 1) It’s free; 2) open to all men; 3) always held outdoors; 4) peer led in a rotating fashion; and 5) ends in a circle of trust.

Warm-o-rama

We took a mosey to the basketball court on the east side of campus.  We honored our man Gunner for his 50th Birthday (respect) by completing a round of motivators.  Gunner took us to this exact spot during one of his Q’s and brought the pain.

We completed a round of 7 motivators for our warm-o-rama.

Pre Thang 1

We then moseyed around the East side of the campus and went up the hill and arrived at the Music Hall to perform our first pre-thang.

We completed a crowd pleaser which went up to 7.

1 Merkin to 1 Groiner, 2 merkins to 2 groiners, 3 merkins, 3 groiners, 4 merkins and 4 groiners, 5 merkins and 5 groiners, 6 merkins and 6 groiners, 7 merkins and 7 groiners then we went all the way back down the ladder.

We then moseyed around the small parking lot and came back to the music hall steps to complete another round of exercises

This time we did a Derkin step exercise.  We completed 5 derkins on each step as we went up the stairs.

We then completed bunny hops and 1 legged bunny hops on each leg.  3 rounds for bunny hops and 3 rounds for one legged bunny hops.

Pre Thang 2

We then moseyed to the memorial statue near Dodge to complete our second thang

Each PAX started out and did a small wall climb with their feet on the wall.  The moved all the way around the wall with their feet up like balls to the wall.  Then each PAX went to the small way near the memorial statue and hopped back and forth across the wall until the end.

We did this twice and planked until the six

We then moseyed over to the small office building west of the memorial statue to complete additional wall work.  This time we did the exercises as a group per below:

10 Donkey Kicks, 15 Chicken Peckers and 20 second count of balls to the wall.  We completed this twice.

We then moseyed back to the flags for some mary

3 Simple Rules of Life

  1. If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it
  2. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no
  3. If you don’t step forward, you’re in the same place

I ran across this quote on twitter and it reminded me of my Dad.  My Dad has been gone for 5 years now and the above rules are things he talked about all the time with me.  I highlighted that my dad was a big believer in going after what you want.  He took over a failed business in my hometown and made it very successful.  Makes me realize that I need to be aggressive in things I want to pursue.

My Dad was always asking questions.  He was very inquisitive and that trait has been past down to myself.  I encouraged the PAX to always ask questions, the worst that can happen is somebody says no.  My M doesn’t like this trait in me but she’s come to understand my personality : )

If you’re not moving towards a goal or making progress you are staying the same spot you were yesterday.

F3 is resembled so much in the above 3 rules of life.  We encourage guys to step up, lead, get uncomfortable and ask questions.  It’s almost impossible to join F3 and not keep moving forward.  We have some many brothers pushing us and holding us accountable!

Keep accelerating F3 Omaha – we are here for you!
