THE PRE-THANG:
Gathered the PAX in the middle of the soccer fields where 4 cones that were about 50 ft apart were.
Had the PAX break into two groups of 5 each. They started on corners doing a body carry of a chosen “dead” PAX to the other cone.
At the other cone, they then did a tunnel of pain (one person army crawls under the bodies of planked PAX and assumes plank position as others crawl under them) inch worm to the next cone. Rinsed and repeated the dead man carry and tunnel of pain until all PAX got a turn.
THE THANG:
Gathered PAX in a circle for a clockwork beatdown. The Pax in front of the cone would then run to a cone about 100 yards away, put on the 30 lb ruck and carry two water jugs up the hill, do 5 squats, sally back down the hill, put the stuff off and run back. While he was doing that, the group would do an exercise AMRAP that the guy in front of the cone at the time would name. Then when the runner came back, guy at the cone became runner.
MARY:
Ended with Rancid-style hammers.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Lots of shovel passes and popups coming up.
COT:
Today is the 78th anniversary of D-day and we are about as far removed from the invasion in time as they were the civil war. I think about how those brave men were just like us. They were brothers, sons and husbands. They were teachers, construction workers, lawyers, factory workers, etc. But they answered the call. And I think about how on that fateful day they were standing on that boat awaiting certain death before them. They knew what was coming and they stepped out anyway.
We are facing adversity and uncertain times. But we are very fortunate to have this freedom and liberty because of these men. And we can honor their memories by getting up every day and facing the challenges before us with strength and determination. But it’s also key to remember that none of them faced the enemy alone. They had their band of brothers. So do we.
