PAX (11) : Fun Dip, Glory Days, Stall, Chernobyl, Mortar, Boss Hog, Squeeze Box, Lady Bug, Double Dip, Baby Shark

Q: G String

Pre Run: Fun Dip, Mortar, Double Dip, Boss Hog, G String

At 0515, G String welcomed the PAX to Mount Olympus, stating F3 stands for fitness, followship, and faith.  He stated the Mission Statement to plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership then covered 5 core principles – it’s free, open to all men, always outside, it’s held in a rotating fashion, and it ends in a circle of trust.  He told them that we leave no man behind and no man where we found them.  He disclaimed to the group that he is not a professional and advised them to modify as necessary.

Warm a Rama:

– 10 x Tappy Taps (IC)

– 6 x Slow Big Ones (IC)

– A few quad stretches and arm circles, and we’re off.

PAX grabbed the coupons and moseyed to the steepest/tallest hill on the site (allegedly). In order to get to the summit of this peak, we were required to jump a short fence. In the process, we had one casualty coupon (Lady Bug’s). That was some solid ground.  Luckily, this site is full of coupons so we got him a new one.

– 20 coupon (kettle) swings; ran up the mountain and back down.

– 20 overhead coupon presses; ran up the mountain and back down.

– 20 merkins on the coupon; ran up the mountain and back down.

The PAX then (carefully) hopped the fence and headed to the field to perform Elmer Fudds, as follows.

– Partnered up. Partner A performs 10 murder bunnies while Partner B rifle carries along his side. Switch back and forth for 200 yards (down the field and back).

TWO MAN GRINDER:

One central coupon station listed 5 exercises. The partnered pair was to complete 200 reps of each exercise which required the use of two/both coupons. One man stays and performs the exercise while the other bear crawls to the core station, performs 10 reps of the core exercise, then broad jumps back to the central station to swap roles. Repeat until all 200 reps are completed. Once complete, move to next exercise listed.

– Central Station

1. Shrugs x 200

2. Curls x 200

3. Dips x 200

4. Rows x 200

5. Lunges x 200

– Core Stations:

1. Big Boys

2. LBC’s

3. Heels to Heaven

4. Gas Pumpers

5. Elbows to Knees

At 0553, G String called Omaha and the group returned to the flags to perform (11) Sarpy Slammers.

COT:

Switching to the first person… I explained to the group that I participated in Dry January, the reasoning behind the challenge and what I took from it. I learned that when you have a positive mindset that your mind will naturally gravitate towards the positive things around you. I shared a quote that I stumbled across while scrolling through Instagram Reels on the toilet recently. I couldn’t remember the actor who said it at the time, so Chernobyl just threw out Alec Baldwin and we went with that (it was Denzel Washington by the way).  “Commitment will get you started. Consistency will get you to finish.” I related to this as I took on some challenges through the month of January.  I reminded the group that the easy path is more detrimental and damaging to your success than the hardships and struggles you’ll face along your journey. Take on challenges and don’t give up. Commit and stay consistent in your pursuit to success.

G String led the PAX out in prayer, requesting that we commit to ourselves and to God, asking for the strength and courage to stay consistent in our plans.

Aye!
