Do to the time we skipped Mary and went right into prayers and announcements. We were able to give thanks for our families and pray for Pitstops wife Lindsay and how the power of prayer has been instrumental in her healing. We then went into the COT which as the following:

I wanted to talk about Purpose? Is purposeful intention something we just wing? Is it something that we do here and there? How do we define purpose and what applications can we practice to create true purpose in our lives?

The dictionary defines purpose as:

“the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.”

A great example of this definition is “the purpose of F3 which is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for the reinvigoration of male community leadership.

And we’ve all seen how that particular statement of Purpose has shaped our lives as we all chose to stand here freezing in unity and purpose….

Being purpose minded starts with creating lasting routines or what I like to call Bookends

I learned this concept from the book The Compound effect by Darren Hardy in this book he states one of the best way to implement true purpose in our lives is to create bookends

What are bookends?

The best way how I can explain bookends are:

1. How your day begins and

2. How your day ends

1. Starting with my first few thoughts, I set my day with my goals in mind

To Give thanks! Always thanking God for his blessings on my life, thankful I am breathing, healthy, that I have healthy thriving children and how God has In trusted me with the calling of being a husband and father.

I’m thankful for my wife Keli and I think of 3 things I can do everyday to make sure she feels loved, respected, and beautiful both inside and out.

I then exercise (F3)

I try to Read something positive and Review my 1st, 3rd year and 5 year goals

Next I focus on my MVP most valuable priorities and spend 1 uninterrupted hour organizing my day based on those priorities.

Sweet dreams

2. How my day ends is something The Compound Effect Darren Hardy refers to Cashing out – coming from a background of working in restaurants and bartending, I can all too familiarize with this concept. Just like at the end of your shift you have to cash out your drawer, turn in all your CC receipts, gift cards, cash and anything else that is required for that shift.

The same goes with your day, after your work is done

Review what was completed, unimportant or new and fresh that I want to keep so you can cash out all the important details of the day not leaving anything undone or forgotten.

Before bed, Read 10 pages of something good because the last thing we put in our brains will be the 1st thing we recall when we wake up so make it great 👍

Prayers
