27 American Patriots converged on Stinson Park for the 2023 version of the 1776 Patriot Games. We were excited to be joined by Skipper, who was downrange from Charlotte. Skipper has become a regular participant in F3Omaha’s traditional Fourth of July CSAUP celebration. Skipper has only missed one year of the Patriot Games since we began the event in 2018. Tater Tot and Wait Time welcomed the PAX to the event. Several men were participating in their first-ever 1776 Patriot Games. We shared the mission statement, the five principles, and disclaimer. Before we started the workout, we honored our country by playing the National Anthem.
Patriot Games is a red, white and blue treasonous beatdown. It seems right to celebrate our freedom and independence with 1776 reps. Below is a summary of the Patriot Games:

Skipper expressed his appreciation and impressions of F3Omaha. He said that he remembered his first Patriot Games. It was the first opportunity that he had to meet our fledgling organization. He remembered that we had just begun our first Monday Murph Site. Skipper joined us for the Murph at Aldrich. He acknowledged that he attempted to talk us out of of doing a weekly Murph. He thought we might discourage some guys from joining F3 because the Murph was so difficult. He said that he has loved watching F3Omaha grow over the years, and tells everyone about our commitment to the weekly Murph workout. He is astounded by the number of sites we have each week – and particularly the number of Murph sites.

Circle of Trust: The Declaration of Independence and F3’s Five Principles
As I was preparing for the Patriot Games’ COT message, I thought I would read the Declaration of Independence. When our forefathers wrote this important document, I was inspired by what they said about rights and freedom, particularly this statement: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
This statement reminds me an awful lot like our principle: “F3 is open to ALL men.” When I first started F3, that principle really inspired me. When I think about the past five years of F3Omaha, we have been surrounded by discord and disharmony in our country. F3 is a refuge for us. We are so unique in this polarized world. F3 is open to ALL men. We come to the gloom with different backgrounds, different belief systems, we may have different appearances and different faith backgrounds. Yet, F3 PAX are so unified. We don’t focus on our differences.
I remember what Tater Tot said to me shortly after the events of January 6 when men burst into the Capitol Building in Washington DC. Tater Tot wondered, “What if those were F3 men? How would have that protest looked differently?” That is such a profound question, and inspires me to bring more men to the gloom and demonstrate what being a ‘united state’ looks like… despite coming from different backgrounds and beliefs.
As we celebrate the United States of America, I am grateful of what F3 represents and how we can remain united and celebrate our differences.
