29 PAX arrived at the Flags, and heard the Core principles, mission, motto, and disclaimer. There were no FNGs… BOOO!

Warm-a-rama consisted of a short mosey (a little taste of what was to come) over to hill on S HWS Cleveland blvd.

The Pre-THANG

We started with 25 side straddle hops in cadence, followed by sun gods while YHC gave instructions for the day. The PAX were notified of the moseying to take place but were also given an alternate workout if they could not or would not run. In true F3 spirit (leave no man behind but leave no man where you found him), we stuck together and the entire PAX chose to mosey. The poor medicine balls saw no action today…maybe next time!

The THANG

The pax began the mosey around Whitehawk lake. The goal was to complete one complete lap (approx. 2 miles) with a few stops for some beatdown actions in the remaining 27 minutes. With this we took off, for stop 1. Side note check out Nelly’s sweet photo on Twitter of the sunrise just before stop 1. The stops were as follows:

First stop, The Damn: High Plank until 6 arrived
– 25 Merkins IC
– 25 Bobby Hurleys IC

Second Stop, North East corner of the lake: Six inches until 6 arrived
– 50 big boys IC

Third Stop, The Playground: High plank until 6 arrived
– 25 Ranger Merkins IC
– 25 overhead claps IC

Fourth Stop, Southwest Corner: Six inches until 6 arrived
– 50 Flutter kicks IC

At this point we had completed one full lap around Whitehawk lake and “Omaha” was called. The PAX moseyed back to the Flags for Mary where we “Al Gore’d” for the 6.

6MOM consisted of American Hammers, Rancid Style.

Circle of Trust:

Change Your Perspective. YHC told a story about how his 2.0 started wearing glasses this year. During Spring break, she broke these glasses while playing basketball and was told not to wear them when playing sports such as basketball, volleyball, dodgeball and a few others. Well fast-forward to this week where YHC got a call from his 2.0 saying she broke her glasses again playing dodgeball. It was at this point I had an ah ha moment on perspective. I could handle these two ways. 1 from a perspective of anger that she broke them doing what she was told not to. Or 2, from the perspective of love and understanding that she is a 10-year-old and is not nor will she ever be perfect. Sometimes our actions are taken when we don’t stop and think about perspective. In the grand scheme of things what is more important? a pair of glasses or the health and trust of your child? If you get angry when your 2.0 or employee or friend tells you something minor that makes you mad, what are the long-
term effects. In my case I thought hard and chose option 2. I want her to know she can come to her father and know he is going to listen and have her back. If I can get her to tell me the truth about the little thing and feel comfortable hopefully, she will also feel comfortable coming to me for bigger things!

Change your Perspective men! Make the best out of every situation! We concluded with Prayer where we prayed for healing for Big Unit and his back and ribs. We also prayed for those dealing with cancer or chemo to include Relish’s family member.

YHC!
