Title: “Sneaky Snake”
PAX: (10) Squints, Duracell, Stranglehold, Gunner, Farva, Low Flow, Samples, Crankbait, Animal House
Q: G String
Prerunners: Farva, Animal House, Low Flow, Samples, Duracell, G String & Razzle Dazzle
At 0430, G String pulled into the parking lot to set up the cones down on the field. Little did anyone know, he had an idea of what the beatdown would entail but really needed to think through the plan yet. Hence, the prerun provided ample time.
At 0515, G String welcomed the PAX to the Cathouse aka Catamount Complex, stating F3 stands for fitness, followship, and faith. He covered 5 core principles – it’s free, open to all men, always outside, it’s held in a rotating fashion, and it ends in a circle of trust. He told them that we leave no man behind and no man where we found them. He covered the Mission Statement to plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership and that he is not a professional. The PAX had already begun the mumblechatter – yes, we’re set for a good gloom.
Warm a Rama:
– 10 x Big Ones (IC)
– 10 x Tappy Taps (IC)
– 10 x Sungods (IC)
G String instructed the group to mosey towards the field, stopping at the paved hill just past the gym. PAX got in groups of 3, excluding G String. Everyone was to ascend the hill, descend back to the cone, and trade off 20 maverick merkins, repeating the hill work between PAX. Once completed, the group progresses towards the field atoppijg at the long run of steps. All frog hopped all the steps to the top where they joined together for 10 chicken peckers. This step/chicken pecker combo was performed three times. Then the group went on to the field where cones awaited for a series of “Snakes” as follows.
Start in endzone on sideline. Run across field sideline to sideline. Side shuffle 0-10 yards. Bernie Snaders sideline to sideline. Side shuffle 10-20 yards. Repeat for the length of the field.
While waiting to start or for others to finish, PAX did air squats.
The snake cycle was repeated with slight change from side shuffle to broad jump for 10 yards. Same concept though, for the length of the field.
For a third time, the snake cycle was repeated, this time bear crawling for the 10 yards.
Time was running short, so G String had the group run from the endzone to the 40. Perform 30 merkins. 40 to the other 40. Another 30 merkins. Finally 40 to the endzone for 30 (IC) mountain climbers.
At 0555, G String shouted Omaha to start the short mosey back to the flags.
Animal House started the circle of Sarpy Slammers, totaling to the 10 count.

COT:
Switching to first person. I explained to the group a term I had heard recently – “radical curiosity”. The idea of this is to take a step back in your daily activities and pinpoint one thing you e never noticed before. Ask yourself rhe how and why if these little things on your life. It goes by too fast and practicing this radical curiosity will force our minds to appreciate of the things we have and not take it for granted.
G String prayed the group out. Aye!
