The PAX gathered by the flags on the southeast side of Aldrich. Went through the five core principles, the disclaimer, mission statement, the purpose of F3 and asked if any FNGs or first time Top Ropers were present (first time for Double Wide and Wind Chill). The PAX was told about the celebration of Da Fridge’s birthday being the theme of the beatdown.
The Thang (Birthday Bear Down Beatdown)
The “Birthday Beatdown” consisted of 34 exercises, starting with one rep and going all the way to 32 reps. The PAX started with a one-mile run, followed by two burpees, three squat jumps and etc. ending with 34 American Hammers Following the 32nd rep of Hammers, Omaha was called.

Every year I grill a nice big juicy steak for my birthday. The funny part of having a March 12th birthday is you never know what the weather will be. This year I’ll probably be grilling in shorts and a shirt since it will be sunny and 60-plus degrees. In previous years I have been outside in a parka with several layers on grilling in 20 degree weather with snow, rain and or wind. But no matter what, I am outside grilling a steak on my birthday.
In life, we go through periods of sunshine and happy times. We also experience the hardships of life and sometimes it is a struggle to get through.
My message to you is no matter if things are great and wonderful and you’re at the highest of highs, or you’re at your lowest of lows and struggling to get through; at the end of it there is a nice big, juicy steak waiting for you. You could be on top of a mountain or deep down in a valley, but no matter what that steak will be there for you.
So if the sunshine and you are thriving, enjoy that steak and keep riding that high. And if you are fighting your butt off and battling every day, enjoy that steak because you got through and you never gave up.
