Our credo to leave no man behind, but leave no man where you found him. Disclaimer that we are not professionals so modify as necessary.
Warm-O-Rama: Tappy Taps 15 IC, Big Ones 10 IC, Cherry Pickers 15 IC, 15 SSH IC
Pre-Thang: Cornhole game in the parking lot: we counted off into two teams to alternate throws from each side of the boards
Rules: Miss the board = 10 merkins for your team, on the board = 10 merkins for the other team, in the hole = 10 burpees for the other team.
We found out that cornhole was a lot harder in the gloom without a drink in our hand. There were many misses. Once team #1 hit a couple on the board and the merkins started piling up for team #2 we moved onto the thang.
Thang: String of Pearls
We went on a short jog up the block and stopped by the ledge to perform: 20 Step Ups IC, 20 Derkins, 20 Heels to Heaven.
Next, we headed up main street and took a right on 9thstreet before catching the trail south of the baseball fields. We stopped at the baseball field bleachers to do these exercises: 15 dips on bleachers, 30 Air Squats, 20 Imperial Walkers IC
Next, we moseyed on the trail to the parking lot on 6th St by the playground for these exercises: 10 Tempo Merkins, 20 Bobby Hurley’s, 20 Frozen Freddies.
Then we headed south and took a right on Spruce St, thenheaded back up to the fairgrounds area. I had one more stop in mind at the stage area but was afraid we wouldn’t have time because we got a little more spread out on this longer mosey. Turns out we probably would have had a minute or two to spare, but it didn’t hurt to get done a tiny bit early on a fun farm Friday!
Omaha was called at 5:50 am

COT: “Let kids be kids”
Yesterday as I was driving home from a show choir camp with my 3 kids and 2 friends, I decided to scope out the area for my beatdown. Springfield was having garage sales and we saw a couple lemonade stands. The kidswanted to stop, but I kept going. Once we got home my daughter and her two friends wanted to have a lemonade stand. At first, I tried to talk them out of it because we don’t get a ton of traffic and there were storms coming later that day. Then I just decided to let them go for it if they wanted to. I put the table out front, but they did everything else on their own. It was slow starting and at one point my wife and I bought a few cups for us and the boys to help their business. But they had a blast with everything and ended up making $16.50 in less than two hours. Split between 3 girls that wasn’t too much, but they had a lot of fun and were excited about the money they made all on their own. So, as I was thinking about this workout it just got me thinking that sometimes the best thing we can do is step back and just let kids do their own thing (within reason). They won’t often have the same doubts and fears as the adults and to just let them experience things and learn from them is great for kids’ growth and development.
I took us out in prayer

Aye! Ray Ban
