QIC: Barn Door

I arrived early to check out the site for my planned beatdown and I’m glad I did as I had to scratch the initial plan and adjust on the fly. There was no way out to the long jump pits, so we scratched that event and replaced it with Bernie Sanders.
14 PAX arrived at the Flags and heard the Core principles, Mission, credo, and disclaimer.
Warm-a rama
We stayed right there in the parking lot to jump into Warm-a-rama which consisted of 15 IC each: SSH, Tappy Tap, Imperial Walkers, and Cherry Pickers
The Pre-THANG
We headed down to the starting line on the track for a friendly 4 x 400 relay. The PAX teamed up into groups of 4 for the first event.
If you were not running you were completing these exercises while your other teammate was running:
First lap = Merkins
Second lap = Squats
Third lap = LBC
Fourth lap = Cherry Pickers
The THANG
After the relay we regrouped into teams of two for the main events on Track and Field Day.
We completed the following events in our teams of 2 at our own pace.
1 – 100 yard dash on the West side of the track
2 – Wheelbarrow on the South side of the track. Switch half way with partner. (lunge walked on the second lap as that was a long way to wheelbarrow)
3 – Long jump one time Bernie Sanders on the East side of the track.
4 – Wheelbarrow on the North side of the track. Switch half way with partner. (lunge walked on the second lap as that was a long way to wheelbarrow)
Rinse and repeat this as necessary. We were able to get through this twice.
The Post-THANG
We teamed up into new teams of 4 for another friendly 4 x 400 relay.

“Omaha” was called and we moseyed back to the shovel flags for a little Mary.

Circle of Trust:
When your life is out of control you need to pull the emergency brake and slow down. In my experience every time I seem to feel the worst physically and emotionally it is because I’ve allowed my life to become too busy. Take a moment everyday to look in the mirror and determine whether your life is moving smoothly or if you have allowed that busyness to creep in.
When my life becomes too busy that is when I eat more junk, sleep less, get less exercise, don’t focus on the M and kids like I should, and just generally don’t do what is right. It usually takes a kick in the shorts to get me refocused even when I can feel myself getting out of control.
Ketchup passed the Nugent flag to Barn Door and said some nice words about him. (Sorry, I can’t remember everything like Gator!)
Wait Time led us out in prayer.
