Q: Splinter
5:29 a.m. YHC pulled into parking spot and grabed coupon for beatdown. There may have been a bit of mumble chatter around whether YHC was going to be on time or even show up as I stepped into the circle to inform the 11 PAX present that the time was 5:30 a.m. and YHC, Splinter was on the Q. YHCexplained the mission of F3 along with the 5 core principles and YHC did mentioned that I am not a professional and there was risk of injury so modify as needed.
Warm-A-Rama
PAX, were told to circle up and then instructed to shake the hand of the HIM next to them.
Pre-Thang
PAX grabbed their coupons and went for a short mosey to the center of the grassy area. YHC reminded the PAX that there was a risk of injury and to modify if necessary but to give it their best to not modify and hit their threshold this morning.
Broke into groups of three for a unique grinder. Man one was to hold plank at one end of the field and 25 yards down man two was to get on their six and hold their feet six inches above their coupon, lastly man three was to travel between man one and man two doing murder merkins. YHC then introduced those who had never had the pleasure to partake in the glorious exercise known as the murder merkin to their new favorite exercise. Mumble chatter was had and encouragement was heard.
The Thang
PAX circled up in the center of the field and YHC gave a motivational speech, well at least I thought it was motivational. Circumstances have a great impact on your story and in your life. We all look at the circumstances around us and sometimes they define us, other times they are a catalyst for a choice. We want to say that we would choose different than so and so but we are not in their shoes, we do not know their circumstances. YHC then informed the PAX of the circumstance that they were going to be put into. We would be performing murder merkinsaround the entire park, 400 yards, stopping at 25-yard increments to perform a 10-15 rep exercise given by the PAX. Complete exercise, runners run 400 yards (one time around the park), Clydesdales run the width of the park, regroup at the coupons, and rinse and repeat until marry. There were two twists, one was if the PAX didn’t speak up and give an exercise after the 25-yards of murder merkins we got to do 15 burpees as our exercise and the second was that when a HIM completed his 25-yards of murder merkins he was to pick up his coupon and go to the back of the pack and complete murder merkins with the six so no man was left behind. YHC explained that PAX had a choice to embrace the current circumstance and do hard thingsor they could complain. PAX all looked at one another and without a word moved to the start and absolutely killed it. YHCwas so proud!

Circle of Trust:
YHC spoke about the power of be a light to others and realizing that you are not aware of others day to day circumstances. Sometimes just being present is what someone needs in their current circumstance and other times being present allows someone else to be a light that you need in your current circumstance. Let’s keep it simple and go be a light.
YHC called for ball of man and prayed us out.
