QIC is starting to become paranoid that mother nature does not like him Qing. QIC feels he has Q’d a disproportionate number of beatdowns in the rain. Today, it not only rained, it hailed. Just before the 5 core principles and disclaimer were given. Hail during a beatdown is a new one for QIC.

THE PRE-THANG: Indian Run
Pax line up in single file line. Pax start in a slow mosey. Pax in front will drop and perform 3 burpees. When complete, that Pax will yell “6” (and sprint to the rear of the line) and the Pax currently in front will drop and perform 3 burpees.
THE THANG:
The original plan was to do 11s on the hill near 108th St. Due to the wet grass being to slick, QIC audibled and moved the location on the much less steep hill near the gym. QIC thinks it was still an effective beatdown.

COT:
Last week, I went on vacation to Colorado with 3 other (non-F3) guys. We enjoyed visiting a few breweries, Breckinridge Ski Resort and a MMJ concert. On one of the brewery stops, a few college friends stopped by including a very good college friend, a one-time roommate. Someone who I haven’t seen in close to 20 years. While both of us has changed over the years, we were able to chat and catch up easily. It was a very rewarding experience.
On the drive back to Omaha, I started to reflect on why we hadn’t kept in touch. For my part, I realized that I think fear played a part in not reaching out to him over the years. Fear that we’ve changed and that a one-time good friend was no longer relatable or that we no longer shared a lot of the same interests or share our opinions on topics without judgement.
Maybe some of you have a similar situation, an old friend that you haven’t been in contact for a long period of time. Maybe your reason is fear of growing apart, like me. Whatever the reason, I encourage you to reach out to that person and catch up.
