Q: Lucky Charms
YHC admittedly has never posted, let alone Q’d at Mission Forge. I showed up early (4;30 a.m.) to scout and set everything up. Then Escobar and Yogi joined for a Smurph.
At 5:30, the PAX all gathered around and we got started. YHC welcomed everyone, let folks know I’m not a professional, listed our 5 core values and our mission statement. I repeated that I’m not a professional and there is a risk of injury, especially as we would be moving around the park quite a bit.
We moseyed to a soccer field for WAR.
Warm-a-rama
- Tappy taps x 10
- Big Ones x 10
- Cherry pickers x 10
- SSH x 10
PAX then moseyed north to the baskedball court for a Pre-Thang
The Pre Thang
PAX partnered up. One would hold balls to the wall while their partner bear crawled across the basketball court and lunged back. This went on for only enough time for people to feel it in their shoulders, which would ensure we get a good workout the rest of the morning.
The Thang
One PAX would shoot a free throw. A miss meant we added a round of the below exercises. The exercises were done on the other side of the trees, ensuring we were always moving. While someone was shooting, everyone else would SSH.
- A round consisted of the following exercises. With 4 misses in a row at one point, the most we did was four rounds at once.
- Air squats x 10
- Merkins x 10
- Flutter Kicks x 10
- Cherry Pickers x 10
For some audibles to mix things up at the end, we did 10 burpees for Supe actually making shot. We did 1 burpee per PAX who had never Q’d before, so we did 8 more. The very last round of exercises, we also did as a set of 20.
Mary
Rancid Style Hammers – 17 total (felt like 20 due to Bayside’s slowccount that would make Chernobyl proud)
Announcements/Prayers

COT
- Short on time due to a lot of fun and Nugent Flag to pass, the COT was simple. Read Freed To Lead and pay attention to the concentrica. Over the past 6 months I’ve had to reprioritize what I have been doing. My family needed more time than previous to adding baby 2. The center and most important part is you M. Your kids are 2nd. F3, work, golf, bourbon … they all needed to take a back seat while my house got in order. It was tough, and I missed it, but the concentrica works for a reason. I’m happier, my family is happier, and I’m in a better place because I remembered the order of importance.
In one of the most unique and beautiful moments of F3Omaha, we finished the morning with a Nugent Flag pass and a quick prayer out. Congrats to Supe and Gump for a beautiful and touching passing of the Nugent Flag. Thank you both for your hard work and push today. Nugent would be proud.
Aye!
