Prayers:
Tax Man requested prayers for his mother-in-law with an upcoming appointment regarding the possibility of cancer.
Prayers for a 10-year old boy named Payne who was waiting for a liver transplant but passed away Tuesday. Many F3 guys volunteered to donate a liver but Payne passed before this could occur.
COT: I ran into an old work supervisor from 8 years ago. Hadn’t seen her since leaving that job. We chatted a little bit and then I apologized for something snotty I said 8 years ago. As I was retelling about the incident to her I didn’t remember all of the details but she did! I was shocked she remembered it better than I did. After I apologized she said, “Thanks for doing that. When a person does something like this it might start to make you change your opinion about them.” I was pretty disappointed in myself and a little devastated that for the last 8 years she had thought ill of me and now maybe might start to change her opinion of me. What I said in a fleeting moment 8 years ago I suspected she might not even remember. Turns out she not only remembers, she remembers it more clearly than I, and it’s affected her opinion of me ever since. We have an impact on people that’s lasting and it can be positive or negative. The things we do and the words we say are consequential. Choose wisely what you say even in a fleeting moment.
