CoT: 2 things, First I talked about Iron Pax and Apex as it was fitting that Apex would be here this week.  For the first part of the workout, I borrowed from Week zero of 2020 iron pax except we only did half the workout.  I wanted the guys to do something hard without knowing they did something hard that has a stigma like ironpax does.  They can do it, they know they can do it now and I’m glad I helped hopefully some of them realize that they can test themselves beyond the beatdowns. Who cares about time and reps.  You vs You.  That’s the real competition.

Second, I talked about bookmark moments.  2 times in the last two weeks, what I call bookmark moments happened.  One, two weeks ago at the Armory, Hard Hat put on one of the most memorable beatdowns I’ve been a part of and it had nothing to do with the workout.  Tough questions were asked and answered, funny questions debated with smiles and a genuine CoT delivered that had guys talking.  That’s where the magic of F3 lives.  Hard Hat plays it close to the vest, but when he talks passionately about the passing of his mother, you stop and listen and take it all in.  It was beautiful, and if you were there, you know what I’m talking about.  Also, had about 3-4 minute chat with Obi-Wan and Unicycle after the Labyrinth beatdown last week that was a moment of vulnerability for us and all three of us know there’s a new found respect for each other.  Again, bookmark moment.  We need to do and say the hard things to keep F3 special and to keep those bookmark moments alive.  That’s where the true progress of leaders of our community are born from.

I thanked the PAX for their support for myself, for Yogi and Escobar and for the Mission Forge AO.

I led us out in prayer.

Humbly,

Griswold
