“Who is the Six – Bambi”
7 Pax: Julep, Bambi, Farva, Polaroid, Good Looking, Q-Tip, Swiper
QIC: Swiper
4:30 am Pre Run (longer): Swiper, Good Looking, Farva
5:00 am Pre Run: Q-Tip, Bambi
Farva, Good Looking I came rolling back and saw Bambi and Q-Tip coming back from pre runs. It was a nice cool morning. Light sprinkles. Farva took off and we had a little more time so I got to 7 miles.
We circled up and I saw some familiar faces. I welcomed the Pax to F3 – and explained it is Fitness, Fellowship and Faith – reminding them of the mission to Plant, Serve and Grow small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership.
I covered the 5 core principles of F3. 1) Open to ALL men. 2. Always Free. 3) Always held outdoors, 4) Lead in a rotating fashion and 5) Ends with a Circle of Trust (COT).
I covered the Credo: Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you found him. We would live out the credo today, I always try to.
I then explained to the Pax that I had a lot of history in this area, my dad grew up a block away, and I worked downtown and would these streets and we would relive some of my past and stop a few places. We would start with a Mosey up the hills.
5:35 am Warm-a-rama:
We started WAR at the Tennis Complex. We performed the following exercises:
- 10 Tappy Taps IC
- 10 Tater Taps IC
- 10 Toy Soldiers
- 21 Silent Side Straddle Hops IC – 10 together and 11 Silent
5:42 am Pre Thang: Exploration
We started to head NorthWest from Hanscom park down Woolworth Ave. We did a strip of Lunges. Ran some more and then a strip of Super Marios. We hit Field Club and ran to the top of #10 Tee Box. I had one plan in mind but modified as we got up there. There was a new practice hitting net with some curbs.
We did 10 curb jumps head on. Turned Right a quarter turn and did 10 side ways jump ups, turned a right quarter turn and did 10 backwards jump ups, and then one more quarter turn and 10 side ways jump ups.
Then 30 Derkins. Then rinse and repeat.
We then mosey’d over to Pacific Street and down to stairs between Turner Blvd and Poppleton. We would have a lil grinder.
5:50 The Thang – Old Stomping grounds
We would get into groups of two and I would join one. The group at the bottom can chose your own core. The group at the top can chose your own arms and group three would push. I told them the Stairs were a Strava segment I created years ago. Good work and good chatter for 8 mins. We headed back to the flags.
5:10 am 6MOM
We worked core in, we ended with Hammers – 4 times around so 28 IC.
5:12 am NOR
The Name-a-rama was completed – see above for list of those who posted. This was a mobile NOR, I ran ahead and grabbed my phone and went back and did the NOR on the move, second time I have done this and its pretty funny.

COT
I explained my COT today was “Who is the Six”…as we did American Hammers, the 6th person was Bambi, and I asked Bambi to come talk about himself for a few mins. We learned about how he got his name, his family, and what he does for a living. Great to get to know Bambi.
I took us out in prayer.
Aye! Swiper
