- YHC is no expert, Drug addiction is a severe and often deadly disease that destroys lives and communities. It’s not just a lifestyle choice or a moral failing; it’s a complex condition that can lead to devastating consequences, including death. Today marks a significant personal milestone for me—it’s been six years since I walked away from drugs. Six years of battles, victories, and immense growth. But more importantly, today is about the power of our community—the power of each of you.
- Six years ago, when I first opened up about my struggles, the first responses I received were, “We still love you.” That moment of acceptance was a turning point in my life. It showed me that vulnerability brings strength, not weakness.
- I remember the first time I shared my story in a COT. Afterward, some of you came up to me and said, “Hey, I’ve struggled with that too.” Those simple words made a world of difference. They made me realize I wasn’t alone in my fight.
- Inspired by your support and understanding, I decided to start giving away what was so freely given to me. I began to embrace every opportunity to share my story, not just in F3, but in every aspect of my life. Through Emotional Headlocks (EHing), I brought more men into our fold, not just to sweat, but to find solidarity in their struggles too.
- As I listened to more of your stories, it became clear that every man has a battle, every man has a story. This realization sparked an idea—why not create a platform where these stories can be shared more widely? That’s how “The Glue-OOM” podcast was born. Today, we’re 155 episodes in, and it’s the highlight of my week, every week, because it’s not just about fitness or fun—it’s about fundamental life changes.
- See A Victory by Elevation Worship – my faith is the foundation to my life, I surrender my will and my life to God multiple times a day. This song has continued to inspire me over the years.
- The weapon may be formed, but it won’t prosper
- When the darkness falls, it won’t prevail
- ‘Cause the God I serve knows only how to triumph
- My God will never fail
- Oh, my God will never fail
- I’m gonna see a victory
- I’m gonna see a victory
- For the battle belongs to You, Lord
- I’m gonna see a victory
- I’m gonna see a victory
- For the battle belongs to You, Lord (oh yeah)
- There’s power in the mighty name of Jesus
- Every war He wages He will win
- I’m not backing down from any giant
- ‘Cause I know how this story ends
- Yes, I know how this story ends
