Was a beautiful Saturday morning at Aldrich.  Had 8 new APEX participants which is awesome, and I made sure the PAX knew that this was a good appetizer for IRONPAX next month. Hard Hat and I showed up about 5:30 for a quick setup and then hit the two mile route for a nice pre-run and some great mumble chatter.  My goal today, was for all the PAX that we’re participating to have some fun and leave a lasting memory.  Which leads into my COT.  Not letting fear get in the way of a missed opportunity.  This was just a barometer today.  It’s a good way to see where you’re at, and to see where you can improve. And sometimes, timing exercises or competing against others brings fear and anxiety.  And unfortunately, that can lead to a missed opportunity for some.  So that day was dedicated to making sure that everyone was cheering each other on and made it less of a competition and more of a group workout like we were used to.  I really thought all the guys did great.  Every PAX came in with a great attitude and worked their butts off and I was super humbled to be a part of it with them as the proctor.  A special thanks to Hard Hat for letting me be a part of it and for all the set up and advice.  He’s a great leader and we’re lucky to have him.  Great job men, lets take this momentum into IronPax in September.

APEX August 24, 2021 – Halleck Park

PAX: Shiplap, Borat, Hard Hat, Double Dip (Q)

It was a muggy morning in the gloom. We had two new APEX participants. The COT message comes from Romans 5, 3-8: Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance to character, character to hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit has been given to us.
