The glorious, early morning gloom had nothing on these 21 pax as they got their minds right, embraced the suck and AMRAP’d their faces off!
Those taking the DRP included Black Tuesday, Tax Man, Ditty, GirlDad, Mortar, SlowPitch, Chernobyl, Korver, Amadeus, BeefTown, iMac, Simmons, RedRanger, HighLife, Khakis #Respect, IcyHot, TatorTot, Crankbait, FedEx, Bunsen and YHC, Firewalker.
Following DongTown’s notorious hilly pre-run, Firewalker confidently welcomed the 21 pax gathered at the ShovelFlags to F3. It should be noted that among the ShovelFlags was a prominently displayed Westside Worrier flag in enemy territory. FW covered the mission and five key principles of F3 and reminded the pax of his general ineptitude, was not a professional and to modify as necessary or risk serious injury. With, we mosey’d to the track, near the football field…. Where it was pitch dark!! #ThatsTheWayWeLikeIt.

Pax didn’t have far to go but found a cozy spot on the track to being an unannounced Burpee Mile. Pax figured things out soon enough.

Motivation. What motivated you to start, to first come to F3. Frustration? A nagging friend or co-worker? Loneliness? Longing to try something new?
What was your why?
My why……. I was as heavy as I’d ever been. – tipped the scale @ 207. Barely working out. Drinking was too much. Feared I’d seen this story play out already growing up. I don’t want that. I thought I’d give F3 a try. Maybe 1-2 days a week. Then maybe, just maybe, my M might find me attractive again.
Presented problems. vs Real Problems.
I’ve come to find the real issue tho is still me. Still a recovering sad clown trying to GET RIGHt. The Real problem was i thought I could do this on my own. I was disconnected. I was unplugged from others who I would desperately need – men who could call me out, stand along side and challenge me to take new ground. Guys I never knew I needed.
