Thang 1 – Bottom of hill on Gross High School Road

I brought the F3 Deck of Cards for us to build the first part of the beatdown. Uncle Jesse would run up the hill and do 5 merkins before running back down. Jiff and I started a cumulative count of 100 reps of the following exercises.

Mountain Climbers, Heels to Heaven, Flutter Kicks, Calf raises, Alternating Side Squats, Rosalitas, Cherry Pickers, Bobby Hurleys.

Thang 2 – Bottom of Grass Hill in front of the track.

1 PAX would choose and exercise for the other 2 PAX to AMRAP and then bear crawl up the hill and run along the sidewalk before going back down the hill to relieve the other 2 PAX. We did about 4 rounds of this. Good mumblechatter during this activity.

Prayers/Announcements

COT – This morning was my 3rd Q in November and I called it my Circle of Thanks. Today, I was thankful for the family traditions that we continue to honor today. Specifically, I was thankful for my grandfather’s mashed potato recipe that he trusted me with years ago. To this day, I make to the exact specifications that he would when I was growing up. You can add whatever other flavors you want in your potatoes on your own plate, but they are not allowed to put them in the community batch out of respect for my grandfather. More so, it is about the time and energy that you put into making sure that there are no lumps in the potatoes themselves. The discipline required to make them the way my grandfather did speaks to his wisdom and it is something I hope to pass to my future kids some day. We still laugh and joke about this recipe to this day while sharing memories about growing up going to my grandparents house for the holidays. I hope we all have memories like this that we can pass on to the younger generations.
