Title: “Luck of the Draw”

PAX (15) : Busser, Gobbler, Huffy, Tender Foot, Crankbait, Kick Stand, Ear Tag, Ferdinand, Ethanbrius, Moped, Girl Dad, Feeney, Low Flow, Black Tuesday, G String (Q)

At 6:00 am, G String welcomed the PAX to The Pit, announcing that F3 stands for Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith. The 5 core principles were recited – it’s free, open to all men, always outside, it’s held in a rotating fashion, and it ends in a circle of trust. He shared the F3 Mission Statement to plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for the invigoration of male community leadership. G String covered the motto of F3, stating that we leave no man behind and no man where we found him. He disclaimed to the group that he is not a professional. There was one FNG. The group moseyed over to the baseball field.

Warm a Rama:

– 10 x Cherry Pickers (IC)

– 10 x Big Ones (IC)

– 10 x Tappy Taps (IC)

PRE THANG:

– Blackjack – 21’s between first base line and 2nd/3rd base line

o Carolina Dry Docks and LBC’s

THE THANG:

– Each PAX received 3 (or 4) cards and were asked to keep it to themselves. We went through the group one by one playing one card which determined which exercise was performed from the list below. When we made our way through one round, the group moseyed to centerfield and back to begin the next round.

EXERCISES:

Ace = 5 Burpees

King = 15 Monkey Humpers IC

Queen = 15 Low Dollies IC

Jack = 15 Side Straddle Hops IC

# Diamonds = Diamond Merkins

# Spades = Jump Squats

# Hearts = Mountain Climbers IC

# Clubs = Chicken Peckers IC

Joker = Around the bases via the below instructions. The one who played the joker performed murder bunnies to right field foul pole and moseyed back (Busser and Feeney were the lucky jokers).

– Bear crawl to first, Shuffle left to second, Shuffle right to third, Sprint home.

“Omaha” – for Mary:

– There were two cards missing from the deck. Tender Foot guessed one of them and led the group in a core exercise of his choice.

– Everyone drew one card.  The one with the highest card chose the next core exercise. Crankbait won with the Queen.

– Ended with Sarpy Slammers

Name-o-Rama (see above list of PAX)

FNG’s Moped received his name.

Announcements: Heartland Hope’s representative was in attendance after the beatdown to speak about F3’s impact on our recent fundraising efforts. Ferdinand’s 2 year anniversary beatdown at The Farm next week. Blood Drive on the 21st. 2.0 Workout on the 22nd.

Prayers/Intentions: Tincup’s treatments, Toadstool’s daughter.

COT:

We had special guests this morning at the Pit. First, we had a couple Boy Scouts give a little speech about their fundraiser selling bagged popcorn. After the beatdown, we had Ranae from Hartland Hope receive the check from Squeaky Clean for his fundraising efforts.

Switching to the first person… I stuck with the card theme for this morning’s COT and explained to the PAX that they hold the cards to their own game of life. They can decide to push forward and play the game or choose to fold. We often hear that we need to push through the battle and fight through the struggles; however, when the cards aren’t there, we need to set pride aside and choose to fold because that can ultimately save us from a far worse disaster.

G String took us out in prayer.

Aye! – G String
