AO: Ironwood

QIC: Snidely
PAX: Seahorse, AARP, Buns of Steel, Colossus of Clout, Village Inn (Hate!), Animal (Respect), Rooster, Hipster (Respect x 3), Snidely
FNGs: 0
Count: 9
Conditions: 68 deg F, 17 mph SE, G20 mph – MUGGGGGGY!
The QIC Snidely rolled up at 0455 to pre-ruck and set up, but everyone must have been tucked away nicely in their fart sacks dreaming of Snidely’s workout yet to come.
After a quick mosey to the rose gardens and the monuments, the QIC hoofed it back to the Flag. The start time came quickly and the parking lot filled up. Familiar faces and fist bumps filled the parking lot – but most everyone isn’t used to seeing the QIC at the closest AO to his house
The QIC Snidely recited the words familiar to all F3 veterans and thanked them for the chance to lead today. All five core principles were said out loud, the mission was confirmed, and the credo was stated for all to hear. An important disclaimer was given – he is in fact not a professional and to modify as necessary.
No FNGs were present and there were no first timers.
The name of the game for today was “Load ‘Em Up”… a high rep workout that is supposed to keep the cardio up and the HIM sweating.
WARMARAMA (0531)
It’s Monday, and if there is ever a day where warm ups are needed, it is Mondays.
- 10 – SSH IC
- 15 – Tappy Taps IC
- 6 – Big Ones (real slow) IC
- 10 – Trunk Twists IC (I’m telling you, everyone likes this one… !)
- 10 – Sun Gods Forward IC / and then 10 in Reverse IC (w/ the thumbs pointed down)
- To round it out, mosey to the Rose Gardens, run through them, and exit onto the sidewalk at the Parachutist Memorial. LFG!
THE THANG (0535)
LOAD ‘EM UP
The QIC explained that this is a partner workout. So, partner up. He told the Pax that one partner will bank reps while the other will runs ~100m (yeah… metric, I know… it just measured out soooo nicely and sounds better than 109 yards) down the trail from the sidewalk to the cone placed at the larger memorial. Once at the memorial, you must pay tribute and do one (1) Burpee, and then return and run the other ~100m back to the partner before switching places. Once they complete the bank, they move to the next exercise // level.
- Level 1: Leg Day
- Goal: 100 Snidely Squats IC + 100 Jump Squats
- Level 2: Upper Body
- Goal: 200 Merkins + 200 Shoulder Taps (2=1)
- Level 3: Core
- Goal: 300 LBCs IC + 300 Flutter Kicks IC
- Bonus Level: Burpees
- Bank 50 Burpees total per team
Now, you could repeat everything if your team is fast and completed the challenge, but only if there is time left. Unfortunately, no one completed the challenge, but some teams were very close! But we all sweated our butts off! Ain’t no thang!!
The QIC called “Omaha” at 0609, we all made it back to the Flag at 0612.

6MOM (0612)
After 300 LBCs IC and 300 Flutter Kicks IC, do you think we’re going to do 6MOM? Think again! And you can thank the QIC later for that decision!
Videorama (0613) Done and posted.

COT (0615)
- Bro dates and improving bonds with your friends
- Four different types of male bonding, or friendships—must, trust, just, and rust:
- A must friend—the best friend and confidant.
- A trust friend—less close than a must but liked and trusted.
- Just friends—casual acquaintances.
- Rust friends—go way back and whether or not they have regular contact, they can readily pick up wherever they left off.
- Four different types of male bonding, or friendships—must, trust, just, and rust:
- How do you bond with friends?
- Meals, drinks, hobbies, work, family, church, support groups, exercise?
- Guys tend to favor the “shoulder to shoulder” contact. And no surprise, we favor less communication.
- But we tend to think we’re good and have enough friends, until we have to overcome adversity. Then, where are they?
- Keep in touch and keep reaching out. You never know when someone you care about need to hear from you. Whether they’re one of 4 types of friends, a new one, or a stranger..
And ☕ coffee.
