Thang:
PAX ran, walked, or rucked various distances.
-Half Marathoners ran through 5 cities on a loop route.
-Escobar, Tea Party, and Kickstand encountered/witnessed/caused? a traffic accident at 72/Giles. This delayed them slightly as they had to do HIM things and make sure everyone was okay and wait for the police. I hope they paused their watches? This cop just ran by because I had Q duties to attend to and I was off duty. Just kidding of course, those men had it under control. This was a first for the halfway house and added some excitement. This led to some mumblechatter about having the courtesy to stop a HIM’s watch if he collapses for some reason or if you find him down on a run. Just kidding again, but this conversation made us forget about the big hills and blowing wet snow in our faces. The conversation really went south after this (even though we were running north). COT:
DUX ESTO means Be a leader. Escobar, Tea Party, and Razzle Dazzle were presented with the DUX ESTO bracelets for completing their first half marathons. Great job men!!
Today we all made a choice to do something hard. These choices can be short term and long term, like training, signing up for the PRC, or even just setting our alarm and putting our clothes out. I challenge everyone to make choosing to do hard things a habit. Eventually, the hard things will not be hard anymore, they may even become routine, and you will look for new hard things. And this is how accelerating is born and with acceleration comes progress and life changes.
