The Farm 060724, 5:15AM: Merry Go Round
PAX: 10 Total: Lot Lizard, Tony the Tiger, EH, Nae Nae, Rambis, Splatter, Ferdinand, Echo, Skidz
QIC: Duracell
Warmarama: Our ultimate destination was a park with a Merry Go Round about a half mile from the flags, so we mosied a quarter mile & stopped for: Sun Gods, Reverse Sun Gods, & Big Ones. We mosied the remaining quarter mile for tappy taps.
The Thang: We split up into 2 groups & gathered at the Merry Go Round. Group 1 used the Merry Go Round for strength training exercises, while Group 2 did a “while waiting” exercise (and made fun of Group 1 on the Merry Go Round.) We did the following exercises: Merry Go Round: 20 Merkins, with the group stepping their hands 1 step to the right after each Merkins. Repeat going Left. 20 Dips, stepping to the right after each. Repeat going left. Hold plank for a 20 count, stepping hands to right after each count. Repeat going Left. 20 Bulgarian Squats, right leg, then left.
The ”waiting group” was doing AMRAP exercises & would do lower body if the merry go round group was doing upper & vice versa. Their exercises were: Jump Squats, Pulse Lunge, Bonnie Blairs, Dry Docks.
COT: The last song of the play list was Joe Cocker’s “I get by with a little help from my friends.” And the COT focused on how sometimes we need not just the workout, but the relationships with the other PAX to make ourselves better people.
Aye!
