Circle of Trust: Romans 5:3 through 5:5
3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment…
This ties in with the F3 philosophy of doing hard things. Why do we do hard things? Not just for the sake of saying we do hard things, it is because of the growth that happens from doing those things. In addition, the more hard things you do, the more hard things you get used to doing. The more you get used to doing them, the easier everything feels. We can look at that passage from Romans and realize that this isn’t just a F3 philosophy, this is God’s will. We will have problems and trials and going through them helps us develop endurance which helps develop mental strength which turns us into men that learn to overcome and not give in when hard things face us. This transforms us into the men that God called us to be.
