May 4, 2022 // AO: Paradise Island // Wheatfields // 48 degrees
Today marked the first day of the new Paradise Island. YHC was nervous and anxious for this day. After three and a half years at Paradise Bakery the group was embarking upon new territory. There were many questions going though my head. Will the PAX like the new site? Will the change prevent people from coming out? Is the route I have planned be enough? Will Q source at Wheatfields be good? Will Wheatfields remember that F3 Omaha will be there this morning? A lot of things to consider, but many people played a part into helping make this decision and whether YHC is ready or not the day has come. He was overwhelmed by the number of people that showed up. There was some mumblechatter early about where the flags were located and some playful ribbing, but YHC played along.

Change does not change tradition, it strengthens it. Change is a challenge and opportunity. – Prince Phillip
Today, we departed from One Pacific Place, but yet we were able to continue to involve some of the same elements such as the lake and the rose that we have enjoyed at Paradise Island since November 27, 2018. We will continue with the same tradition of trying to become better men, husbands, and fathers with Q source immediately following todays beatdown and every Wednesday right here. Change can be difficult because we like the status quo and what we have done by changing locations may be deemed minor by some it is a great example of how we can grow. As humans and I am just as guilty, we resist change, get upset when things do not go as planned, or take out our frustrations on others when there are sudden changes that cause disruption in our lives. We will find reasons to dislike the new reality. As we go on today have a little patience and understanding because we will be thrown some curveballs today, but they will create an opportunity for you to grow by your response.
Today, was a success and I look forward to seeing what future Q’s decide to do with this new location. Today, was a great reminder to me why F3 Omaha is so special!
Aye!
