Closing
After requesting for confirmation if anyone had any announcements or prayer request, We finished up in a very unique way, T Swift gave a shoutout to T Party for recognizing T Party’s hard work and dedication to F3. From there the whole group spent time recognizing each other and it was really cool to see all the love that was shared in that moment. It was kind of like a group COT before the actual COT.
COT
My COT was based on a saying my dad has reminded me for many years, it’s one that has stuck with me so I decided to share it with the group. It goes
“Today is a brand new Day, It’s never been used before and it’s full of opportunities”.
Being that we were all soaked and cold from the weather, I reflected on how we all took this opportunity to come out for the beatdown where many others would not see this as such a great opportunity to spend their time. I also talked about how opportunities come in many different sizes and explained how we need to open to different kinds such as opportunities to Listen, to be still, to be present and to lead.
We finished off with prayers for all those who have lost love ones to suicide and mental illness and during the prayer, I asked each one of the PAX members to shout out the name of someone that they have lost. I asked that we take time to remember them for who they were before they were gone, the impact they made on others and the love that was shared between them and the one that now mourn their loss. It was a great workout and an even better fellowship. Thank you to everyone that shared during the COT and I hope you all have a great weekend!!
