COT: Today in history, Lou Gehrig in 1933 broke the record for most consecutive MLB games played, which at the time was 1,308. He would eventually play 2,632 consecutive games which was a record that stood for 56 years before being broken by?
Lou Gehrig gave an inspirational farewell speech that is often quoted, but after I read the speech is a line that really speaks to me and my consistency with F3 for the past 3 years. Lou spoke the words “Look at these grand men… which of you wouldn’t consider it the highlight of your career just to associate with them for even one day?”
I am your classic F3 story. I came for the workout and I sustained due to the fellowship. I’m proud of each and every one of you here today. I admire so many characteristics and qualities of the HIMs I see on an almost daily basis.
I encourage everyone to better themselves by reading and learning, but I implore you to not overlook the HIM standing next to you. See their strengths and thank God you have the chance to associate with them even if its for one day. PRAYER
