Pre-Thang

For the Pre-Thang, the PAX moseyed to the Mainstage flag that was placed on the northeast side of the football field.  The PAX counted off into groups of 3 to complete a ‘Redrum’.  The first HIM murder bunnied up the hill, completed 5 blockees, and then rifle carried the coupon back down.  While that was being done, the other 2 group members alternated between LBC’s and Low Dolly’s AMRAP.  After each group had cycled through the set a couple times, the Pre-Thang was concluded and the PAX moseyed to the center of the football field.

The Thang

The PAX counted off into 4 groups to begin the Thang.  A 4 station grinder was set.

Station 1 (Push Group)

  • Stairs – Snake through the grandstands (3 up, 3 down)

Station 2

  • Bear Crawl (Starting at the goal line, go 30 yards)
  • 10 Big Boys
  • Crab Walk (Back to the goal line)
  • 10 Low Dolly’s
  • Rinse & Repeat

Station 3

  • Tire Flips

Station 4

  • Buddy Carry (Sideline to sideline and switch off w/ partner)
  • Modifications – Wheelbarrow…..or Burpees, Merkins, Lunges

6:05 – Omaha was called and the PAX moseyed back to the center of the football field, where American Hammers (Rancid style) were completed.  Name-a-rama followed.

COT:

Sister Act: A year ago I stood on this field in the dark and prayed a simple prayer.  “Lord, let this be a place where men are supported, challenged, and able to lead. Thank you for the opportunity to steward their lives in this small way for these brief moments each Wednesday. Amen.”

It’s really been an honor to be here. I can’t believe it’s been a year! My biggest hope is that I’ve facilitated relationship, acceleration, and brotherhood. I’m fully aware that that has to happen individually and not by my doing. But it has been a pleasure to try to help.

I’m really thankful that I was able to see some new men get into F3, see some guys lead in awesome ways, and see the traction of F3 start take in this area. I know Rowdy and Bayside are going to do a great job!

Bayside:  Since we were already over time, I tried to keep things short.

As many of you already know, the biggest thing that gets me up in the morning and out the door to F3 is the second F: Fellowship.  The fitness is great, but the fellowship is what keeps me coming back.  That really goes two ways though.  Each HIM has certain guys they enjoy seeing each day and may go out just to see them, but you also have to consider that they want to see you as well.  It’s not just posting for yourself, but also posting for them.

I want to thank Tater Tot and Sister Act for trusting Rowdy and I enough to lead Mainstage for the next year.  Thank you to Stapler, for EH’ing me to F3.  Last but not least, thank you to Rowdy for being willing to co-Q with me. I’m really looking forward to the future.

Rowdy: I will also try to keep this short, but I am a man of a few more words than most, so there’s that.

First, I want to start by sharing my appreciation for my brothers Yogi and Escobar for bringing me to F3 and for Sister Act starting the site at MS so close to “home”. The common denominator in all of the men and leadership in F3 and what they do? Surround themselves with likeminded people that lift each other up, while also keeping them accountable. Many will struggle with ego and not want to admit where they are deficient, but in F3 many of the best leaders and coaches know their strengths (and weaknesses) and make sure to surround themselves with guys that are stronger, where they are weak. In turn making everyone better. This is where I thought Bayside would be a great Co-Q. Bayside is consistent, organized, and hardworking, which is a recipe for the success we will find in the future. I want to thank all of the PAX that made it out today and that will continue to make an impact in the Millard community.

Sister Act took the PAX out in a Ball of Man.

AYE!
