Q: T-Ball
15 PAX arrived to hear the F3 Core principles, Mission statement, Motto, and Credo, as well as exercise disclaimer. No FNGs. I was really excited to lead this group today and like to take an old piece of wisdom given to me by Retweet. If you are struggling to get out in the gloom, just sign yourself up for a bunch of Qs!
Warm-o-rama: The PAX began this beatdown with a quick mosey to the wall of the school, followed by a round of 10 ATMs, 20 Air squats, 30 second Balls to the wall, 40 second wall sit, 50 second plank, and 60 SSH (straight count). PAX then ran to the hill on the North side of the school for some brief hill work while carrying 3 separate coupons. We forgot these at the flags and went back to get them thanks to 3 of the PAX. YHC kept a mix of 90s and early 2000’s alternative tunes pumping, including a song from my college band which Mufasa roundly criticized. Nicest guy my ass! 🙂
Pre-Thang: PAX headed to steep hill on the east side of the track and partnered up. One partner remained at the bottom doing Monkey Humpers while the second partner performed Bernie Sanders up the hill, 10 squats at the top, and then ran back down to relieve their partner and alternated until transitioning to the Thang, which was necessary after lots of sore leg issues started creeping up on the group 10 minutes in (or so).
The Thang: PAX split into 3 groups, with each group mushing with their coupon. The group remained at the top of the hill doing AMRAP exercises, while 1 member carried their coupon down to the bottom of the hill, performed 3 blockees, and then ran back up the hill with their coupon. Exercises for the group included: Merkins, Groiners, Mountain Climbers, LBCs, Carolina Dry Docks, Hello Dollys, Alternating Lunges, Werkins, Sumo Squats, Flutter Kicks, Johnny Dramas, Heel Touches, Supermans, Raise the Roofs, WWI, Knerkins, Bonnie Blairs, Frozen Freddies with rinse and repeat until Omaha called at 6:07 am. PAX then mosied back to the flags for 15 reps of U-call-it Mary x 3 followed by a round of American Hammers to finish off the beatdown.
Prayers/Announcements:
Nicest guy flag pass was given to Three’s Company, who has been posting a lot and is newer to the gloom—has been accelerating and was praised for his efforts lately
Congrats to Mufasa on winning the first annual poker night and had to bring the trophy to show everyone that he won something.
Flag pass Monday at Mission Forge to Shark Week and Peel—congrats fellas

Prayers to Home Run for new job interview today
Circle of Trust:
My recent and upcoming Qs in the next couple of months have allowed me to reflect on some teachings and lessons that I have wanted to share with other PAX members from recent books that I have read. I shared the book the 5 Types of Wealth by Sahil Bloom and had another discussion point that I wanted to mention today. I spoke on Tuesday about the importance of connection and making real connections with those that are close to us, those who will be the front row people at our funeral, and those who we need to continue cultivating depth with. One of the things that makes our group special and why it is so important for us to give this away to others is that this group builds “earned status”. This is different than “bought status”. Sahil points to the fact that bought status is the idea of improved social positioning garnered through acquiring status symbols such as a club membership, expensive car, expensive vacation, etc. Earned status, however, is the real respect, admiration and trust won through hard work. Some examples of this would be healthy loving family relationships made possible by years of present energy, a strong fit physique built through hours of movement and disciplined eating, an adaptable mind capable of navigating stressful encounters shaped through steady mindfulness practice and thoughtful introspection and a purpose and viewed work in mastery within a domain, built through years of effort. These are just some examples, but the takeaway is that our connections built here and at those where we search out real deep and meaningful connection are those that will last the longest and must be earned. These cannot be bought in the hard work that you put in today and every day in the gloom as well as in your families and work as the fabric and glue of relationships and status that will be built to last. The last from Naval Ravikant said ” A fit body, a calm mind and a house full of love. These things cannot be bought, they must be earned”
Aye, T-Ball
