Message from the Q:  October is mostly known for its spooky Halloween celebration coming up in a few weeks, but as I was deciding what to talk about this morning, I looked online and saw that today was “Forgive an Ex Day.” IT was described as the following:  “Forgiveness is hard, but it’s also healing. On Forgive an Ex Day, get in touch with someone who hurt you, or just let go of any resentment you still have.”

I shared with the PAX present that some of my resentment is toward myself for not being the man, husband, and father I need to be.  Often times I am selfish and need to focus on my family after a long hard day at work and not just focus on myself.

I encouraged all present to look for something to forgive in their lives, maybe an Ex, maybe yourself, but if you do forgive, you will feel good about yourself and be ready for next month’s celebration as we begin to focus on being thankful for the things in our lives.

Closing Prayer – In Jesus’ name.  Amen!
