A beautiful calm fall morning greeted the PAX upon arrival at the Colosseum.  YHC greeted the PAX, share mission and core principles.  Took off on a quick mosey for a lap before meeting at mid-field for Warm O Rama.  A quick count off into groups of four was done as groups were set for remainder of beatdown

Pre-Thang – Monkey Merkins

Groups would start in one respective endzone.  In the north endzone merkins were completed, in the south monkey humpers.  PAX members would take turns calling out a yardage marker.  The group would then spint to that yardage marker and then jog the remaining disctance to the endzone.  They would then complete a selected amount of reps.  For example – If you sprinted 60 yards you had to complete 40 monkey humpers in the endzone. Then on the return if you ran 70 yards you had to complete 30 merkins.  Most groups completed 10 sets of exercises before Omaha was called for the Thang.

Thang

We stayed in our groups of 4 with each group starting at a different location.  Four stations were setup.  The exercises to be completed were the same at each station except you would add the next exercise on the list to your stop prior to advancing. Stations were setup at the stadium entrance, base of west stands, base of east stands and top of east stands.

Essentially you would climb the ladder by adding on an additional exercise at each stop.  Exercises completed were are follows:

20IC x Alternating Plank Arm Circles

20IC x Crab Cakes

20 x Alternating Lunges

(10 Each Way)

20 x Hand Release Merkins

20 x Big Boys

20 x Jump Tucks

Omaha called at 6:05 and the group met to complete 6MOM as a group.

If you’re climbing the ladder of life, you go rung by rung, one step at a time. Don’t look too far up, set your goals high but take one step at a time.

Sometimes you don’t think you’re progressing until you step back and see how high you’ve really gone. Don’t let your own perception of your situation cloud your reality!

If you don’t set your goals based upon your Mission Statement, you may be climbing the ladder of success only to realize, when you get to the top, you’re on the WRONG building.
