The Brick Yard 12/15/23, 5:30 AM, 37 Degrees & Rainy : No Regrets

PAX: 10 Total : Bobsled, Vanilla Ice, Cataracts, Woody, Snidely, Royale, Bloodshot, Caruso

QIC: Duracell

This workout was the combination of 2 vintage IPC workouts: Care Bear Squared from 2022 & an IPC from 2018 that I couldn’t find the name of.

Warmarma: 10 side straddle hops, 10 Big Ones, 10 tappy taps, 20 High Knees, 10 sun gods, 10 reverse sun gods, 20 High Knees, 15 Side Straddle hops.

Pre-Thang:  For the pre-thang, we had 3 rounds consisting of 5 WWIII situps with coupon & 5 Burpee you-call-its.  (PAX call out their favorite exercise, which we incorporate into a burpee.)

The Thang:
4 cones were setup in a square, roughly 20 yards apart.  Each cone had 15 exercises (Goblet Squats, Thrusters, Man-Maker Pushups, Kettle Bell Swings.) PAX would complete the 15 reps with the coupon, leave the coupon for the next group to arrive at the station & bear crawl to the next station.  We faced the same direction for all bearcrawls to incorporate front, back & side to side.

Road to Nowhere:
The final 4 mins were spent ruining the Talking Heads song Road to Nowhere.  We murder bunnied in a circle for the entirety of the song, only stopping to do a blockee at the lyrics “Road to Nowhere” or “Ride to Nowhere”.  Those lyrics are stated 11 times in the song.

COT:
The Q has had 3 friends/classmates pass away over the last 6 months.  We talked about a memorable moment from each of them & talked about leaving a lasting impact during our life & living without regret.  A quote was discussed from the movie “Natural Born Killers” which was: I don’t spend a lot of time with regret, it’s a waste of emotion.  Our discussion was based on learning from the things which we’ve regretted & really letting the realization of regret sink in, so we can remember not to do those things the next time around.

Aye!
