Black Tuesday welcomed the Pax to F3 – reminding them of the F3 Mission: Plant, Grow and Serve small workout groups of men for the invigoration of male community leadership.
Black Tuesday then recited the 5 core principles of F3. 1) Free of charge 2) Open to all men. 3) Held outdoors, 4) Peer led in a rotating fashion and 5) Ends with a Circle of Trust (COT).
Black Tuesday then informed the group that he is not a professional and to modify as necessary. He recited the creedo – “Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you found him.”

The PAX then moseyed, rifle carrying their coupon, around the track 4 times, passing the coupon every quarter lap (each PAX carried for ¼ of the track, 4 times). Black tuesday emphasized the need for communication – use the word “PASS” when handing off the

COT:
The workout we just completed was intended to imitate the burdens we carry throughout our day to day lives. Internal items, family items, things at work. We all have things we’re carrying, and the weight varies as we move throughout our lives, sometimes more, sometimes less.
Grouping up during the beatdown was intentional, to signify the groups of people associated with the different burdens we experience in our lives.
Just one example, not the only one I could bring up – Is in my relationship with my M – there have been a lot of times I’ve let the burden build to an unhealthy point. My M would jokingly compare me to a spring or a stick of dynamite – holding everything in, just packing it all in until I burst. For too long I thought carrying that extra burden was the way to be a good partner, father, etc – but I started to realize it had the tendency to have the opposite effect. I’d carry all that weight, and when the family needed me to be a rock, I’d falter – I’d have some built up resentment for having to carry more than my share and snap at the M or my kids for something that in the grand scheme of things wasn’t that big of a deal. I had all the strength I needed, but I was wasting it in the wrong circumstances.
So…There’s a difference between how much you can carry, and how much you should carry to ensure you’re still doing good for those around you. Could some of us have done the whole workout without passing the coupon? Maybe – but then you probably wouldn’t be able to lift your arms the rest of the weekend…which doesn’t help very much when you need help scrubbing your back in the shower later today.
On that note – It’s important to share/release the burdens you experience. Communicate so others understand where your head is at. Talking through things with the people directly involved in your burdens, or even just sharing your struggles while moseying, during coffeteria, or any of the other opportunities that we have with the 1st through 3rd Fs. So I’ll leave you all with this – keep building yourselves up so that you’re able to carry more when you need to, but remember to pass the weight from time to time so you have strength in the moments you really need it. Keep accelerating everyone!
Thank you!! BT
