Q: Barn Door
Tee Ball, Obi-wan, Steeple, Tea Party, and I all showed up early for a little extra credit pre-run. When we returned back to the shovel flags there were a few more cars in the parking lot.
At 5:15 sharp F3 was introduced, core principles, mission, and credo were all stated. No FNGs present, I’m not a professional so modify as needed.
WOR consisted of 15 IC each: SSH, Tappy Taps, Imperial Walkers, and Cherry Pickers.
The THANG
We headed over to the soccer field at the park for a little 2 group grinder. We kept to two groups so there was opportunity for more mumblechatter.
Group 1: ran a lap around the soccer field on the path which is about 0.25 mile.
Group 2: worked through these exercises until Group 1 pushed them. When they got back to the exercise spot they continued on the list.
- Merkins – 20
- Wide Squats – 30
- Weezy Jefferson – 20 IC (On back, legs @ 90. Lower legs quickly to 6”, then back up)
- Werkins – 20
- Narrow Squats – 30
- WW I Situp – 20
- Ranger Merkins – 20
- Bonnie Blairs – 20 IC
- X Factor – 20
- Burpees – 20
We were able to get this this list about 1.5 times. About mid way through the Thang, we re-grouped and split into a new set of groups to keep the mumblechatter going.
“Omaha” was called and we moseyed back to the flags in the parking lot for Mary.

Circle of Trust:
This is a passage from a book called “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor E. Frankl.
“Remember the good times in the past, not just the bad. Don’t dwell on the bad past as you forget about the good past. – In the past nothing is irretrievably lost, but rather, everything is irrevocably stored and treasured. People tend to see only the stubble fields and forget the full granaries of the past into which they have brought the harvest of their lives; the deeds done, the loves loved, and last but not least, the sufferings they have gone through with courage and dignity.”
I know we have all been through some type of suffering in our lives, but being here today means you made it through that suffering. Even though it may have sucked at the time, you came out of it as a stronger person. Don’t forget about those past wins even though they felt like major struggles at the time. You are stronger than you think.
