Promptly at 5:30 AM, I welcomed the PAX, recited the Mission, Core Principals, Disclaimer and Credo. 1 FNG DR from Chicago. I also called out former Futurama Site Qs in attendance; Stiches, Othello & Demogorgon.
WARM-O-RAMA:
Stiches lead the PAX around the backside of the monument and formed a circle for a series of exercises:

PRE-THANG: Stitches lead the PAX to the monument wall.

THE THANG: Mosey to the Dodge St
Choose your own adventure grinder: Group up with 2-3 other PAX. 3 sets of cones on the large Memorial Park hill. Head to the top for 5 Buprees & 30 squats. Choose middle set of cones for 5 Burpees and 20 squats or choose first set of cones for 5 burpees and 10 squats. Head back to Dodge St. after every set for 20 LBCs.
There was sufficient mumble chatter. Grass wasn’t wet. A great day to sweat on the east side.
POST-THANG: Mosey to upper landing.
Mary: Not at Future.
FNG Dave stepped into the circle and told us he was from Chicago. He was quickly named “Da Pope”. He then told us he was Jewish and everyone got a good laugh. Welcome Da Pope! Thank you Da Fridge.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Bulls Eye Heart Walk (check Slack). Taco Ride pop up. Wait Time is a big deal at F3 and is bringing F3 leaders to Omaha. Halfway House this month, day before Memorial Day in Sarpy County.
PRAYERS: Swiper’s Son Noah who is traveling to Italy, Snowman’s baby is back in the hospital, Biff’s Daughter, Students on summer break, Papa Smurf and his family.

COT & Flag Pass: I thanked the PAX for a wonderful turnout and for humoring my BS the last year at “Omaha’s Prettiest AO ©”. When I was asked to take the flag 13-14 months ago, I initially was hesitant but couldn’t come up with any good reasons not to take it. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made in a long time. It accelerated my growth as a man. Gave me the opportunity to be accountable, selfless and connect me to other men in the gloom. I called out 3 men in specific on this morning.
Stiches, for giving me the opportunity to lead Futurama. For being a man to look up to and model myself after and for pushing me on mornings when I didn’t want to be pushed.
Q-Tip, for being a sort of “co-site q” for the last year. He showed up nearly every week. Father and son posting at the same site every week gave us an opportunity to connect and grow our relationship. I am going to become a dad in a month and I expressed how eager I am to become a dad because of the example he set for me. We are closer now than we have ever been thanks to F3. I encouraged the young dads in the group to continue to grow their relationships with their children. Some may take longer than others. I cried.
No Cry, for being a man willing to step up and take on the challenge of leading the site. For seeking out opportunities willingly and for always making me laugh. I know he will do great things during his tenure.
No Cry then pulled out a very long sheet of paper that got a good chuckle. He spoke to the challenge he was preparing for and how he was ready to lead. He spoke to what F3 had meant to him thus far and said a few nice things about the former site q.
Prayer: We gathered in a ball-of-man and I lead us in prayer.
