Pre-Stuff – 4:45 AM:

Busser and a couple of other PAX started at 4:15am for a Flat Farm Friday and then circled back for the normal pre-runners. There were a few sets of ruckers as well. Lots of pre-stuff going on, indicating it was about to be a great turnout! While the other Farm leadership rucked to discuss the beatdown one last time, Ferdinand ran the OG route in a Taco costume…

Beatdown – 5:15 AM:

Schrute welcomed the Pax to F3 – reminding them of the current site-Q Skidz and a few other roasts. Schrute then reminded PAX of the F3 Mission: To plant, grow and serve small workout groups of men for the invigoration of male community leadership.

Schrute then recited the 5 core principles of F3.  1) Free of charge 2) Open to all men.  3) Held outdoors, 4) Peer led in a rotating fashion and 5) Ends with a Circle of Trust (COT).

Schrute then informed the group that there is a real risk of injury and that he nor any of the Q’s were trained professionals, and to modify as necessary. He recited the credo – “Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you found him.”

Warm-O-Rama (By Shovel Flag)

There was no warm-up, Sun Dance gave a quick run-down of the set-up for the beatdown and counted each member off, one through five. The five groups would stick together to complete five stations.

Thang One – Classic Farm Stations

Underneath The Stands – 10 Maverick Merkins, 15 Big Boys, 15 Mountain Climbers IC, Rinse & Repeat

The Bullpen – 10 Bullpen Burpees, 15 Derkins, 15 Frozen Freddies IC, Rinse & Repeat

The Stage/Pavilion – 15 Dips, 15 Rocky Balboas w/ Partner, 15 Johnny Dramas IC, Rinse & Repeat

The Tree – One member “Rope Climb”, Others Tire Flip back and forth, Air Squats or Al Gore, Rinse & Repeat. **NOTE** Tater Tot did not partake in the rope climb.

The Field (Push Group) – Run/Carry one hay bale to the gravel road and back (approximately 50 yds.) When completed, pushed the group at the stands.

At 5:42am, Omaha was called to return to the main square where the Shovel Flags were planted.

Thang Two – Three-legged Race:

In the same five groups, each group found a starting cone with small ropes. With a partner, ropes were tied around two conjoining feet. When the start was signaled, one pair on a team went around their cone (about 10yds from starting cone) and returned to tap the next pair to begin. This was repeated until all team members went. Team Five, which happened to be Swiper’s team, won. Their prize was “Farm Q-pons”, entitling the recipient to get on the Q schedule at the farm and have coffeteria covered.

Conclusion: Sarpy Slammers were conducted, Chernobyl, KOA and Nae Nae counted nice and slow. There were 68 total counted.

Name-o-rama occurred, which took several minutes due to the number of PAX.

Two FNGs were named in a painful naming process. Welcome Deez and Third Wheel.

Jean Claude had the Nugent Flag and shared a little bit before passing it to Wait Time.

Skidz shared about the process of picking the next Farm leadership and what this past year has meant to him. He shared some powerful stats that he had tracked over the course of the past year. The Farm had over 930 PAX post at the Farm, including 20 FNGs. An average of about 17 PAX per day! And 150 Unique PAX posting, not including the current Shovel Flag Pass.

Finally, Tony the Tiger and Sun Dance each shared about their excitement to take over the Farm and work together and empower others in the process.

Ferdinand, wearing a Taco costume, closed us out in prayer. Prayers were offered for Splinter’s M and all Mother’s as we headed into Mother’s Day weekend.

Many PAX stayed afterwards for on-site coffeteria from the Black Sheep (Banana Nut-flavored coffee, a medium roast coffee, and hot chocolate). Maaco’s M also made a special cake that had Tony the Tiger and a Cowboy hat and pistols that said “Sun Dance”. It was a GRRRREAT Friday morning as the SUN was rising.
