Date: December 13, 2022
AO: Wild Kingdom
Pax: Escobar, Lincoln Log (Respect, Respect!), Butta, Sasquash, 12 Gauge, Vlassic (Respect!), Cutting Edge, Pit Stop, Obi-Wan
QIC: Obi-Wan
Conditions: 36°, Wind 13 mph with 33 mph gusts and light rain/drizzle
YHC welcomed the PAX to F3 at 5:30 AM. Let everyone know my name is Obi-Wan and then on to what F3 stands for, our five core principles, the F3 mission and F3 credo were cited to the PAX followed by the disclaimer. The goal was to stay dry and the best way to do that is to mosey instead of rolling around in the grass. So off we went to begin our mosey.
The Thang:
We moseyed South along the Wild Kingdom trail towards the neighborhood and then headed East. We reached 156th Street and proceeded to do 20 Air Squats.
Our mosey continued to the South to Ackerman Elementary (156th & Q). This stretch was the worst that morning with the wind coming from the South that was driving light rain straight into our faces and had us thinking twice about our decision to post that morning (ha, just kidding… the PAX loved it!!!). Once at the Elementary parking lot we all faced North and performed 10 Cherry Pickers IC.
We took off to the North along 156th street and moseyed to the intersection of 156th and Rolling Ridge Road, here we did 20 Monkey Humpers IC.
From there we continued our mosey North to the intersection of 156th and F. Performed 20 Tempo Squats IC there before heading back towards the shovel flags along the Wild Kingdom parking lot entrance from F street.
The PAX ended up covering approximately 2 ½ miles on our mosey and the mumblechatter was enjoyed by all on a rain filled morning. Thank you all for pushing yourselves and for the great conversations.
Mary:
These may have been tried out previously, but this was a first for me. As we circled up at the shovel flags to alleviate having wet shorts in our vehicles it was decided to do Imperial Walkers – Rancid style instead of American Hammers. Worked out pretty well and YHC will be keeping that one in mind for future Q’s.

COT:
I was scrolling through the endless black hole that is Twitter the other night and came across the following image and it hit home for me.

I lost my Mom 5 years ago and I’ve mentioned this same thing to my M a few different times and did not realize others felt this same way. During the Turkey Trot I ran with another PAX member and we chatted about this same thing as he recently lost a parent also. So as we move towards the holidays it can be a tougher time than usual for anyone who’s lost a loved one or is going through a rough time. Watch out for those people and help them if you can during the holiday season.
SYITG!
Obi-Wan
