25 Pax arrived at the flags, and we reviewed the core principals, mission, credo and disclaimer
It was cold AF so we immediately started to mosey over to Genesis Health Club. Their parking lot was kinda empty on a cold morning so we borrowed it for our warm up.
• Sun Gods forward and reverse. 10 (IC)
• Tappy Taps 10 (IC)
• SSH – 10 (IC)
We then continued to mosey over to Home Depot
The THANG:
Since this was my 3 year anniversary beat down, I decided to take the PAX to where my first beatdown as a FNG took place. The dreaded hill at Home Depot (High Life’s 1 year anniversary beatdown). The warm up and beatdown are exactly what High Life used that morning. For the Thang we played a little game called “Out of Your Control.” I had a couple dice that I made (appreciate everyone criticizing my craftsmanship). Each PAX would take turns rolling. If they rolled an even number, that member got to pick the exercise and we executed the number of reps that were rolled. If it was an odd number, we ran up the hill and did that number of burpees at the top and then jog back down. If the number was a 7 or 11, we had to Bernie Sanders up the hill, do the amount of burpees and jog back down. For whatever reason, the numbers 7 & 11 hit more than planned… this made me (and Firewalker) smile. About the 6th or 7th time up the hill, I noticed it was close to Omaha and everyone was leaning towards Papillion High School… back down the hill we went. As soon as everyone reached the bottom, Omaha was immediately called. Back up the hill and back to Genesis parking lot for some Sarpy Slammers. We then moseyed back to the flags.

Circle of Trust:
3 years in F3. I shared with the group my initial draw was fitness. I needed it more consistently in my life. Fast forward to about 4 months ago. I got injured, opened a new UPS facility, holiday season hit. I had essentially zero F3 in my life. Yes I missed the fitness, but man did I miss the 2nd F. It’s funny, my first day back, it was like I never left. What a group. I shared my 5 favorite beat downs (special events like CSAUP excluded).
5 – Levy/Rooney Baseball Beatdown at The Danger Zone
4 – Low Flow 2 man grinder (was just the 2 of us running up and down Aspen Street) at Catamount
3 – Swiper Hickory Hill at The Canyon
2 – Frosty’s Nugent 5k (the original) at Futurama
1 – Uncle Jesse Stations of the Cross at The Bell Tower
I also shared my 3 “what in the hell was I thinking” beat downs:
3 – Sparty 40th B Day (blizzard) at The Bell Tower
2 – Jean Claude Grandmothers Marathon Prep Beatdown (JC just blew the whistle) at The Sanitarium
1 – Farva Week of Farva South O running tour (had to be 110 degrees) at The Catamount
This list was not meant to offend anyone! I don’t post as much as a lot of guys but I have been to quite a few good beat downs and look forward to a lot more in the future. Thank you F3 for an awesome 3 years.
Aye! Stranglehold
